Is this true?

No. It's wrong.

Intel would never act like a kike, look at all that diversity hiring and feminism support they do. They're the good guys.

stupid goy, it's not a discount we're doing charity.

Wasn't Intelaviv directing clients to buy Ebyn cuz they can't make dies fast enough?

gib xeon discounts

SOP

That's HPE

>oh no, they are not falling for the "shortage" of processors
>quick, give them "discounts"!
fucking lmao, intel. literally no one in the server business is falling for your flawed hardware right now. you can keep all your "shortage" of cpus for yourself

>Intel orders vendors to offer Major Xeon Discounts
so it begins again

*makes 150 billion profits and gets fined only 1,5 billion*

nothing personell, schmuck

Okay, this is epyc

>makes profits
>on discounted CPUs, with their yields
Yeah, I'm not so sure about that.

honestly, they should bundle "faster meltdown/spectre patch update" along with it too. some clueless fags will probably take the bait.

toppest of keks

He was referring to the last decade or so including the bribes to dell.

>Intel's oy vey

okay now this is epic

I thought there was a shortage of 14nm chips? so in the end they will mark it up because "shortage" and suddenly give "discount". Tel Aviv would be proud in this scheme.

pcgamesn.com/intel-denies-tsmc-outsourcing

they are gonna build more 14nm fabs (hint; if Intel is building dedicated fucking 14nm fabs and not just outsourcing to TSMC, it means they are going to stay on 14nm for a very, very, very long time)

i predict 10nm processors (not dual core 0,8GHz with iGPU disabled on chinese only laptops) in 2022 ROFL

>Other product is competitive with yours
>Lower prices
How is this not ideal?

Its not gonna be worth it. The power consumption to performance ratio on Intel chips is so fucking bad that no amount of price cutting will counter the massive electricity savings.

Your talking a 32-core in a 205 watt TDP and Rome on 7nm will be a 64-core in a 225 watt TDP

Nothing intel has or is taping can compete with that. The best they can come up with is a fuck ugly 2+1 die package to get their performance back up to match and beat the EPYC chips but even when they do that its going to consume alot more power and be alot more expensive to fab.

>everyone is using amd's corpse to get sweet discounts to buy shintel

never change, economics is a lie and people are not rational.

thanks op stocked up on 1000 xeons to flip on eBay

I think that might be anti-trust violation.

Intel can't buy the important people out with payoffs or kickbacks like in the 90's and 00's. Now they have to make things work under the eyes of regulators so what they do now has to be kosher.

>very, very, very long time)
intel is in a deadspiral, it was obvious from the things ex employees posted like 3 years ago.
they are never turning this around, all they have is their x86 license so we'll see what that is worth in 10 years.

That is known in economics but by modeling on the assumption people act in rational self-interest we are able to simply the model and still provide relatively accurate predictions and descriptions.
