The Aeon is also pretty big, it's cups are taller but skinnier than the LCD. It's a lot bigger than it looks.

What are some good headphones under 200$? Looking to grab something for around 150 CAD. Canadian here. I got a big head so certain headphones are really uncomfortable, prefer a semi-open headphone, and some bass but its not essential.

I liked them, I have the Tin Audio T2 now, but the soundmagic E10 has more sub bass. It has very weak treble though, if that's important to you.

The T2 can be modded readily and reversibly to have insane bass response but it's too much for my tastes.

They're piss easy to power, my old fiio x3 makes them loud enough on low gain, so you don't really need an amp

Possible. Depends what mobo you have.
For peace of mind I'd look into some cheap DAC to be sure. Motherboards are at a risk of giving you actually audible flaws.

The standard Aeon is a headphone with a relatively smooth response muted in the treble. It's not that neutral.

Oh fuck off I literally just sold the Shure SE215 last month in favour of IEM with more detail. I bought the RE-400s as replacements but someone here chastised me saying I could get better for the same price. So I'm selling them also.

I have a feeling you'll have a tough time finding the clarity you're looking for, with IEMs specifically, in that price range. For IEMs to match the quality of headphones, their prices go steep, fast.

Are the quality of over-ear headphones generally matched or lesser with IEM in the 100$ price range? Are there over-ear headphones I should consider instead?

SE215 is not my first choice in clarity.

I didn't buy SE-215 for clarity. That was a good all-rounder. I don't hear much difference truthfully. I want to exchange the RE-400 mostly due to the lack of a replaceable cable. I'm fearful I'll ruin them if I'm not really careful.

I'm no expert anymore for headphones in that range, but there's definitely good stuff you can get for that price that beat IEMs. I don't dare recommend which though, as I haven't looked myself in a while. Sennheiser, or AKG if you're afraid of fragile products, have stuff around that, and it'll likely beat the competition.

HD600 is HD600, HD6xx is basically HD650. HD650 is a bit warmer than HD600.
