what's the point of using mpv with youtube for real time watching when you can just watch in the browser you made the query with? also isn't it time consuming to search a video in browser, get the url, copy and then paste into mpv for every video? i dont get it

Do not use WD40 on anything plastic. You'll be replacing that fan.
Though I've not found a good way to stop a squeaky case or GPU fan, short of replacing it, myself, so...
For *other* rubber or plastic stuff, you can use a silicone lubricant (not the kinky kind, the Home Depot spray kind), but that stuff is too chunky to use on a case fan.

I was having problems with Jow Forums today and I updated Firefox from 60-something to the recent one hoping it would fix it. It didn't, the problem was with uBlock, and now I have a problem when something about my font spacing changed and I hate it. I can't even explain what it is, but it changed. And specifically on Jow Forums, other sies are fine. Is there a simple way to go back, or a setting I can change to make it go back?
Oh hey this is the same problem I had. It has something to dow ith uBlock. Maybe you've figured it out too in the hlf hour since then, but if you disable it from Jow Forums it works again.

I can buffer the whole video, watch them without my view being counted and don't have to suffer the abomination that is YT's design.
For me it isn't more time consuming, since I have shit internet and watching a 1080p video is a buffering nightmare. You can also create a shortcut to open an URL with mpv instead of copy-pasting it into the terminal.

I'd like to get a second monitor, but I don't know if it matters if it's 144hz or not. Can my gtx 960 run two different screens at once, at different refresh rates? Would that have a significant affect on my fps in games?
I'd just like to be able to message people on something or have a music player on the other screen, plus have more workspace when I'm programming. Trying fit my IDE, my web browser (for looking up APIs or stack overflow), and my slack all onto one 24 inch screen is really frustrating, especially because it's only 1080p and I'm nearly legally blind.

Is it dumb to mix ram brands? I got two 4 gig corsair sticks and already had an adata one. So i just put them in and it seems to be working. Ran a windows memory test and it found no problems.

I know my CPU can only handle 1333mhz (this is a really old computer) so i assume all are going to work at that speed. CPU-Z shows a different latency. What can happen?

The solutions I found online were mostly cases of "works on my machine" where guys managed to trick windows into accepting the layout, but none of those worked either.

I'm trying to install Lucky Patcher to individually patch selected apps that caution you about not having Google Play installed. But each time it tells me it could not be installed. I believe it is being prevented from installing because I receive a security warning before attempting to install it.

I want to create a video from an existing video and a static image layered over it with certain transparent parts (which I suppose I can make with gimp).
How would I go about doing it? any recommendations for linux video editing software?
I would use Google, but I can't for the life of me describe what I want accurately enough for Google, it could just be I'm a little sleep deprived.
