Can anyone explain to me how/why windows 10 seems to be growing in size as I uninstall updates? I should have 2gb freed up by now but as you can see by this and the following image, that's not the case...

No

Yes. You're using Windows.
You're welcome

so it's now grown 2gb instead of deleting it, wtf am I missing here?

ok well thats unavoidable, anyone have a real answer?

>windows 10
>doing anything you tell it to
just let it do its thing, thinking you have any control over it is just delusional

Cortanaâ„¢ likes it big

That's actually the real answer.

Cmon I know some of you know windows 10, help me out! It's getting smaller!

I wanted to ditch 10 entirely and go back to 7 but the HDD doesn't show up in diskpart. Anyone know why that might be?

My guess would be logging.

I also dont know why you would do this.

If you use 10, one of the things I would let it do is patch. People whine about it, but it really isn't that bad.

Probably need to clean the disk, with diskpart first.

>27.8 GB total

Please tell me you unmounted your main partition already

>unironically using winshit

Don't uninstall updates, just use Disk Cleanup (system files), disable hibernation and set pagefile to something like 256MB.

>nobody has mentioned dism
Use dism++ for a gui and get hacking down that size
My 10 install on my 32GB netbook after all my bullshit is 18GB free

oh my god you baka
BAKA

Take it easy son

windows caches the updates just in case you decide to use system restore.

Go to Windows-->softwaredistribution--->downloads and delete everything
I noticed disk cleanup left 8GB of update files on mine.

Disk cleanup will delete those.

>using a 30 gb hdd for windows 10
the madman

He's not alone, I stand beside him
