Before he died Terry left us with something amazing. He spent 10+ years developing TempleOS, an entire operating system that is completely open source and functional. The dedication and time he put in is unprecedented, and a true accomplishment. Terry's behavior left a scar on what would have otherwise been seen as an astounding accomplishment, and unless something is done about it, he will have died in vain.
We as a community of people who work best in our own unrestricted terms, have the ability RIGHT NOW to be able to change something about the world. We can continue development of TempleOS; fix the underlying issue of the kernel not taking advantage of x86 abstraction, as well as a plethora of other things prohibiting it from being used as an actual operating system.
If Terry Davis needed 10 years to create what he has entirely on his own, then it should only take 10 people working the same amount of time a year to be able to fix it and turn it around into something that is actually usable by real people; something that isn't maintained by a bunch of pussies that are incapable of being told that the code they wrote is fucking shit and will cause real fucking issues if approved into the mainline project.
Creating a completely functional operating system that is at the very least capable the most basic usage without saying "this is fucking retarded" and just turning off the VM and using whatever OS we know is going to be fucking ruined by fucktards who can't handle being told that they need to get better at programming.
If this site has in the past been able to carry out raids by harnessing our autistic power, then why can't we do the same to further develop a kernel and OS?
Right now there's a fork on github that has been able to build a TCP/IP in TempleOS, and implemented a package manager and internet browser. The more of us contribute, the faster TempleOS can actually become viable to use.

A lot of what is needed is already implemented, it just needs to be polished and refined. The kernel definitely needs to be improved before we focus on any real changes to the OS; allowing for more extensible and fluid code.
