So what are these? They hosted on site or is my filter fucking up?

also Maybe he does what I do, I go to a board I like, look at the threads and then filter everyone of them I don't want to pay attention to, and sort the catalogue by date created. I only ever see new content and dont see the old threads and constantly bumped threads at the top anymore.

I'm pretty sure that Hiro is trying to kill engagement on this site or whoever actually is behind this is trying to do that. This isn't about ad revenue that's for sure.

>boards.Jow Forums.org##body > .desktop.adg-rects
there you go

You're a standup guy.

idiot here
what am I supposed to do with that?

Why the fuck is uBlock preventing me from uploading images from websites? I can upload from my computer just fine but when I try to post an image from a URL it won't load it unless I make an exception for the specific site.

What the fuck is going on with Easylist?

go to the ublock options, then "my filters" and paste it in the line

based

BASED user

dude upvotes lmao

Why these 'ads' are there suddenly? I'm sure they don't generate any revenue at all. If anything Hiroshima should add j-list back at least those ads were kind of cute or something.

thanks

thanks m8

lmao troled

This button works and you should use it.

where do i put it tho

Do you mean he is trying to drive out all the normies from facebook? If so, good luck and hope it will work for the idiots who don't use ublock. At this point Jow Forums is more normalized than ever before and it's sad.

>Because it's really hard to right-click the banner and click "Block element"

No. I mean Israeli shills like you are trying to kill engagement on this site because there's too much information and it counters the narrative you try to push.

I'm less upset about the ads than pic related. It's literally executable javascript encoded as a png that Jow Forums serves.

do you want two more nukes, asshole?

I don't have any fucking clue what you are talking about to be honest. What fucking "engagement"? Your post doesn't make any sense.

I just cleaned my ublock cashe and re-updated all the filters from scratch and it fixed it for me.

Don't do that, you fucking retards. You're literally just hiding the ad while still allowing all the botnet to run.

Can you upload images from URLs?

I'm still having a problem with that.

.adg-rects{
margin: 0px 0;
width: 1px;
height: 1px;
}

For those who want this to work on any device :^)

Propose an alternative solution then.

I don't see any JS in the strings?
also, do you have something for reading about your pic?

>Don't do that
ok, so what should we do instead?

also add ||*.4cdn.org/osqfeolite/* just in case

>been complaining about tinnitus on Jow Forums recently
>thought the botnet was reading my posts and targeting ads at me
Thank fuck im not the only one seeing that ad.

>look mom i replied to everyone
that isn't even a working solution. elements that have width or height still render, as well as all child elements and therefore the ads still load.

just purge cache and update idiots.

So, seems like the idea would be using the NOOP rules on uBlock. The thing is, that this breaks the CSS of the page too. Some user would guide us on using NOOP but allowing the script which lets Jow Forums load its CSS?

It's encoded so simply opening it in a text editor wouldn't give you anything.

I opened it in gimp and exported it as RAW to decompress it.

Thanks, works perfect.

alright, you're activated my autism card user.
So what can we do about it?

Attached: 1519009622031.png (738x537, 437K)

Still not fixing my issue with image URL posting. There has to be a better way than having to whitelist the site I'm trying to post an image from every time.

what is this?

Put it in uBlock's My Filter list

Why? What are they?

Read the thread

Have you tried running it through a deobfuscator like Revelo?

Attached: 2015-10-16_09.png (708x596, 87K)

Thanks user. Came to Jow Forums just to check if you guys found a solution and like always you delivered.

Attached: 1536765341793.jpg (565x407, 119K)

nigga breathing is a botnet here

It just hides it, it doesn't stop the script

Right click > Block element

Jesus, it isn't hard. Filter lists aren't updated that fast.

For now just update your filters, there's already a filter in EasyList that blocks the image with javascript encoded.

The only way to be 100% sure is to block inline scripts, but it breaks the site style. Looks like the main script checks for some variables that should be set in an inline script and then checks if the ad element exists before loading the CSS.

Not memeing, there's tracking code inside, you can clearly see it tries to create a canvas element for fingerprinting.

the only warnings i ever got for URL posting was from tampermonkey. ublock origin shouldn't be involved whatsoever. maybe backup your custom filters and wipe them out.

or you know, provide more info, such as the error, any console warnings or errors, what browser you're using, any Jow Forums extensions, etc.

Nah, I didn't want to get into deciphering it right now. I just used a crappy find/replace in notepad++

Allah bless you, user. May all your refugees not rape.

Chome, Appchan X, uBlock Origin/Extra. I get a popup telling me "Can't Load Image." The problem is certainly being caused by Easylist and uBlock Origin because disabling either fixes it, and adding a custom filter to whitelist the site of the URL I'm posting allows it to go through. The same thing was happening on Jow Forums X as well, and I also tried with Adblock Plus.

Disabling ublock seems to remove the ads believe it or not.

>For now just update your filters, there's already a filter in EasyList that blocks the image with javascript encoded.
Are you talking shit? Just updated and didn't do shit.

If I turn on ublock globally on the site it breaks the catalog, but I guess this is not working unless it's turned on. I got by just fine with disabling element, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.
What do I do?

>tfw blocking inline scripts while keeping the style functional
Feels good man

>not blocking ads network-wide with something like pihole

You need to whitelist
a.4cdn.org/*/catalog.json
That loads the catalogs

Purging all caches in ublock options > Updating filters got rid of it for me

Attached: 1513916217342.jpg (204x218, 14K)

Yeah because ublock filters got updated.
I still see the shitware domain on ublock's window tho

>hiding scripts
fucking why

Seems to work, thanks. Didn't think it was just that.

And the source errors:

Refused to load the script 'data:application/javascript;base64....' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' * 'unsafe-inline'".

script.js:9892 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'el' of undefined

at MessagePort.execTask (script.js:2918)
[common uploaded file here] Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
2script.js:2666 GET [common uploaded file here] 0 ()

[common uploaded file here] and data:application is obviously shortened here by me

Seems like I found the error.

'$third-party,xmlhttprequest,domain=Jow Forums.org' was being blocked by Easylist. Adding in an exception for this has fixed it. I'm not sure if this is going to cause some other issues down the line or not, though.

done that and adding the filters and still get them.

It worked for me but then reset on refresh.

>purge cache + update worked
so everything is safe now, right?
it isn't just hiding them, right??????????

>J-list will never be back

Attached: 1526016807814.jpg (599x589, 98K)

This.

Wait, does some other javascript download it, decode it and execute it? How do I look for it myself?

Anyone found a way to block this yet? it still shows up

Attached: 1537308075575.jpg (981x736, 155K)

Are y'all pretending to not notice the picker tool or

How to NOOP the ads without fucking the CSS?

Tell someone that doesn't know how to use a computer what to do about this.

how do we stop gookmoot?

It looks like this worked

>Apply all these filters and blocks
>STILL COMES UP
Whoever managed to block it, can you post a screen of your filter setup? and third party filters?

>Click Picker Tool
>Doesn't work

HELP

too lazy for that shit. also, I thought it was a final solution, but no, it wasn't....

doesn't work for me (chromium, firefox + noscript).
though, why in the flying fuck should this work? are browsers really this retarded?

Purge caches and refresh, it's blocked now with default uBO lists.

it worked. thanks Jow Forumsuy

boards.Jow Forums.org##body > .desktop.adg-rects

I added this to my ublock filters
Not sure if it'll keep working depending on how the url changes, but so far all url's I've seen contain the string "ite"

Attached: c.png (160x24, 2K)

didnt work

test

boards.Jow Forums.org##.adg-rects

Pointless, because we've already seen it move from zvb* to osq*.

>too lazy
It's 5 fucking clicks.

Is anyone with a Jow Forums pass experiencing this?

>all posted solutions just hide the ads but script keeps running
>still no final solution to block this completely
Come on, Jow Forums.

Pass only kills captcha not ads.
It can't really be fixed if it comes directly from Jow Forums itself.

There is no final solution. It's all hosted on i.4cdn.org, the fix is to stop using this website.

What script? If it's one of the 4cdn.org one's, wouldn't you have to inject your own or something?
And why do the ads suddenly disappear for me?

Gorhill to the rescue maybe? He helped us last time.

Haven't browsed Jow Forums for at least more than two years when the us elections began, what's up with Jow Forums?

But (((Jow Forums))) needs these ads to make money.

>It's all hosted on i.4cdn.org, the fix is to stop using this website
HIROOOOOOOOOOOOOO

block i.4cdn.org except for board URLs? I don't know if that's possible with filter lists
