Microsoft is just as bad when it comes to data mining. The difference is they aren't fucking with their search engine based on their SJW employee's views. They serve businesses, and businesses need to remain neutral to succeed.

I use GNU/Linux OSs and Bing as my search engine. I get the same tech search results as google, and the porn results are better. Image searches are god tier. Life is good.

being hosted in the us has some benefits which includes an absolutely inalienable right to free speech for the host which is important if your users start calling to gas the kikes, and you're not compelled to log things (yet)
germany is far more cucked when it comes to copyright laws where isps are forced to give over customer data, and swiss privacy protections are only applicable to citizens or legal entities which means there's nothing stopping a hostile swiss vpn provider from selling you out, enjoy your placebo

yandex is by far the best for reverse image search as says so long as it has actually indexed the image, it's somewhat comparable to what google used to do where it tries to find to find actual similar images instead of trying to guess what the image is with search terms influencing the results
the biggest downside is that mostly indexes a lot of cryllic websites and not a huge amount of western ones

I do not know why you hate google. We must agree that google is a company that offers a great service of free courses for those interested in programming and tech

i use DDG for general searches when i dont care about results.
I still use google when doing specific searches and DDG failed me.

Pick "SafeSearch: Moderate" on the right.

Using Bing now, but waiting for the day when I Qwant has improved enough to be an equally good replacement.

I'm pretty much not using anything Google now, except android, but I use a fake gmail account with it and have everything disabled (location etc).

My next phone won't be an android, waiting to see if the surface phone will be any good.

If not, I guess I'll just root and go lineage or some shit like that. I barely use the phone anyway, so it's not important to me.
