Guys I'm thinking about buying either an s9+ or an s8+. Is there a difference to why I should go to the s9+ or should I go for s8+?

Attached: samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-paars.jpg (711x565, 24K)

I got an s9

There's no reason at all to get a high end phone.

I bought my dad a S9+ for his birthday and it looked alright.

Beter verspil je niet zoveel geld aan een telefoon vriend.

used to be justifiable cause you'd get a $800 phone for $200 with a new plan, but now you just pay $900 over 2 years for it

The displays on the flagships phones are worth the price of admission alone.

Basically the same phone, S9 is better if you play a lot of games (like, having them up all at once) and the fingerprint reader is in a much better spot if that makes a difference to you.
Also the S9 supposedly has better update support but I don't know if that's proven fruitful yet.

wat raad jij dan aan?

You don't need an 8k resolution when the screen is only six inches, you nerd.

The s8 is terrible, the curved screen is bad and the samsung shitware is omnipresent and shoehorned. The s9 isn't much better. Get a zforce3 and save your money

Get a Google pixel 2

You can get a 1k phone for 100 bucks. Just buy a chink phone.

You still won't need one.

Stuur me naaktfotos :^)

S9 is an S8 with all the kinks fixed; the refined version. Also, since its newer, you'll have 3 years of updates, instead of 2 years with the S8.

And don't listen to anons who say get a budget phone. Get a an older flagship phone if you want to save money, but """"budget"""" phones are garbage.

Pocophone seems to be good though.

>zforce3
Not everyone is a poor 3rd world shitter like you.

>Pocophone
>chinese botnet

Literally nothing wrong with a moto/lenovo, the turbo family has been fantastic for me. I literally get any phone i want from work, and wouldn't take a samsung if you paid me even though i know how to remove all the bixby/samstore cancer.

What the fuck is this thread doing in /v/?

Yeah, I can get an s9+ for 34 a month which is the same I'm paying (or use to pay) for my current one (nexus 6p)

oops was supposed to be in Jow Forums

>paying that much for a shitty phone

>monthly payments
Stay poor, friend

>buying samshit
>ever
wew lad.

just buy some chinskhit, they make them so fucking good now and are like half the price. Huawei's flagship(p20 pro) BTFOs both apple and samshit, looks way sexier and still costs less

>buying Samshit or iShit

Go to /spg/ on Jow Forums and enlighten yourself in the ways of Chinkphones. I fucking love my Redmi Note 5.

>buying notchlet phones

you should get an iphone because if you don't then everyone you text will know and shun you from society.

Still looks better than thst abomination on the iphone's top

>he didn't get an Essential Phone for $250 on Prime Day

nice screen, good camera, ip68
I give zero fucks about CPU and GPU and don't need a ton of RAM because I use my phone for relatively simple tasks and don't multitask, but the few things that I listed made me decide to shell out extra money for a Samsung flagship

I am on s8+ and the 4k doesn't make a single fucking difference.

I thought it's only 2K.

Why would you get a note 5 when it has worse specs than a note 3?

>dual rear cameras
>Snapdragon 636

shut the fuck up retard

As I said. Worse specs than a note 3.

As someone who works in the smartphone business, don't bother with top end handsets. Maybe 4-5 years ago I'd have had a different tune because shit like the Galaxy Young was what you were getting for $100, but now you can get $200 Huaweis, Motos and Xiaomis that have the specifications of $600 smartphones from barely even three years ago.

Get an iPhone.
Android is garbage.

>iPhone
>Android is garbage
oh god...

>Get an iPhone
>Pay twice as much for last years specs while Apple touts it's "revolutionary"
You're having a fucking laugh.

I have a galaxy note 3. Its 5 years old and working perfectly.

The new iPhone having a 720p screen is an absolute disgrace.

>My face when they announced it had an LCD 720p screen
>Not OLED
>Not AMOLED
>LCD
>The same shit in the iPhone 4s

My credit score is over 800 you faggot. Sacrifices must be made for that.

>Jow Forums thread on /v/

This isn't video games, but they're honestly both shit phones. I use to think Samsung Galaxy was superior, but I'm bias because I've been using an Iphone for the last 10 years. I tried using a Samsung Galaxy 7 recently and it was trash. Didn't like it at all compared to the Iphone.

I cant tell you anything about specs or whatever
but the infinte screen on the s9 looks slike af
chinkphones literally cant compete with this design

Recently a bank rang me up and asked me if i knew what i wanted to do with all my money. I am not making this up.

>monthly payments
>for a phone

Attached: 1526144537241.png (1920x1080, 3.04M)

Monthly payments aren't always bad. Assuming you can find a decent plan included with it, you can actually end up paying less for the device when you compare the phone's full cost and an equivalent SIM only and put the two together.

>they're not always bad
>for a phone

Attached: 1529819947705.png (960x540, 1.12M)

this

I could just buy the phone right now but monthly payments are in the long term cheaper and will gain me extra stuff.

You buy the phone and choose a plan. Then you make the phone last more than 6 months. You save the money.

>Buying a 250€+ phone
For what purpose.

EIGHT
HUNDRED

It's worth it. I live about at about twice my incomes average lifestyle for the same amount of money.

You are literally a brainlet.

You have a poor, working class mindset that will prevent you from being successful. Learn to think long term.

Are you really going to notice $35 leaving your bank every month for a top end handset and 10-20GB of data?

I don't care about specs and neither should you.
Hardware means nothing if the os is garbage.

No, I just know basic math and now what will safe me money in the long term.

>Not having a fully tracked and balanced budget.
It's 2018, you can get it all automated.

>not realizing what $35/month for eternity compounds to with interest
Poor wagie

>it's worth it

Are you not going to notice money transactions? Give me 30 a month then :^)
>10GB of data
?

Attached: 1515946732774.png (1920x1080, 3.31M)

>Eternity
You mean 18-24 months? I blink and that's gone.

I have saved about €2000 over 5 years by buying a phone instead of being on a plan.

Also i know you are baiting.

You paid 2k for a phone? Imagine just saving that money for real.

>using the same phone forever
I believe in you

You can't be fucked to spend time searching for financially advantageous plans or checking how the math works. You're a payday loans brainlet.

Acting retarded is the highest form of wit.

Have you ever owned a phone? If you try to end your contract, before whatever year plan you have, you have to pay a cancellation fee.

>I avoided a shit deal that means all deals are shit and anyone claiming to win is liar

>paying to lease a phone
I remember four years ago when an upgrade just meant you had to sign a two year contract. I guess people cancelled the contract anyway.

People who say plans are bad don't actually do any price comparisons online and just like at the prices in physical stores. Of course the fucking price is absurd when you look inside T-Mobile or AT&T, because they're the shitty retarded normie options that prey on stupid people. You can find plans that make theirs look like a fucking joke with a few keystrokes on Google.

Nigga why the fuck are you in position to be spending 2k on phones in five years in the first place?

>contract
lol what

You paid 2k by buying a phone.

It's not a lease, it's a contract.

Yes, my contract actually gives me full ownership to the phone from day one. The only thing I'm subject to have cut off if I don't pay is my network.

if your plan costs more than the 100 bucks I paid for my phone then it isn't saving money.

Okay, now how much do you pay for your SIM only contract, or heck, your pay and go SIM over a year? Because I bet it's a minimum of $10 a month for anything decent. Meaning you paid $20 more than me.

I meant a contract without having to pay extra to lease the phone.

It's not a lease if the phone is mine from day one and I have no fees for not returning it.

>paying 10 a month for phone contracts
Man the marketing has really got to you. You're just justifying you paying more than me
>I pay -10 a month
Retard.

Free phones and no fees for usage. Nice.

I made a galaxy note 3 last 5 years. Still working fine. No cracks. Feels good.

user, re-read what I posted. I never said a phone contract, I said a SIM contract, where you enter a contract for just the SIM with the bundled allowances for calls, texts and data.

How much do you pay for it?

I had androids all my life until I realized I only play vidya at home and never on the go. at least iphones are not a buggy piece of shit and have an excellent battery life

You do not live in a nice area if you can't walk around with a phone. It doesn't even occur to me to worry about something like that.

I get my sim cards for free, i just pay for a service plan

>Meaning you paid $20 more than me
>I meant a different contract
How does that change what you said? I never claimed you got the definition wrong of any contract. You're just acting like telling me the definition means I'm wrong. Arguing a definition does not an argument make.

If you have a PS4, why the fuck don't you have one of these mounts yet? They cost $4 and fit any phone. I use mine for emulation all the time.

Attached: DSC_1539.jpg (1920x1080, 641K)

Why would I play games on my phone when not only do they not have any games, I can play emulated games better on my PC with a 40 inch screen.

Is unlimited data 4g for €20 a month good or bad?

What carrier do you use?

You're still paying extra monthly to use the phone exclusively on their network whereas if you had an unlocked phone its a larger entry fee but it would save money in the long run with flexibility to switch networks.

I feel like you're not understanding me and are now getting hung up on definitions.

Stop skirting the question and tell me how much you pay every month for your SIM allowances, it's a simple answer.

Attached: 237.jpg (640x633, 38K)

Don't know about Europe, but that would be pretty good in the states. It's like $35 with a decent carrier here.

You can play emulated games in the bathroom at work

>You're still paying extra monthly to use the phone exclusively on their network
Haha no, the phone is unlocked and on contract with EE.

lmao this nigger probably pays like $15 and doesn't want to admit it

Im not renting the phone. I bought it up front. That would be €30 or €40 if you rented the phone in europe.

I literally pay nothing for the latest phone and unlimited calls, texts, and data, plus unlimited free sims if i want them

Horse shit unless you work for the network directly. Meaning your situation is irrelevant to the conversation.

It only took four posts to hear it.

That's without the phone, $35 is like an introductory deal just for unlimited data here.
