Is foobar2000 still the best music player for Windows or are there others I should take a look at?

foobar2000 is literally the only reason anyone would use Windows in 2018

Games?

Winamp

>foobar2000 is literally the only reason anyone would use Windows in 2018 if you are over the age of 18 and aren't a virgin
forgot to clarify

But Linux has games.

Windows days are numbered

Aimp

I've been enjoying MusicBee

Dxvk dumb fuck. Anything that uses direct x 9 runs on every platform now

IT REALLY WHIPS THE LLAMAS DICK

great i can play all the games my grandpa raved about, now how about actual good games?

>Linux
>sex
Pick one

You'll have to play Fortcucks on Winshit.

>i believed the hype

Nothing with battleeye works on Linux, most games with login pages don't work. Shader caching is a shitshow and a half. Embedded movies don't work in many games.

it's not there yet man

It's tied between this and musicbee still. f2k has better customization, but musicbee is arguably more user-friendly. Both have great user-made themes

Why would anyone want to use wangblows? Are you retarded?

Yeah I'd rather use the cum guzzling osx or the tranny cesspit that is linux

Can't be worse than using the pajeet spyware that is windows.

Not anymore.

cmus is better.

Why should I use foobar2000 over vlc...?
hadn't even heard of it till today and I used to browse /mu/

though that's probably why.

Use cmus instead.

i dont recall the last time i downloaded music

>casiopea
nice

The only thing that matter in a music player is that the audio delivered is the same as the source.

yeah but why? Is the audio codec better or something? or just better UI?

Better UI, lighter footprint.

Clementine / Audacious > foobar

>Nothing with battleeye works
So nothing of value is lost. Why the fuck would you install anything with basically malicious "anti-cheat"?

Anything that isn't free software should be assumed to be malicious, since it hides its source code.

Funny enough, after ditching windows I used Audacious for a while before saying fuck it and installing foobar again. Audacious was definitely my favorite native music player, but I kept getting this bug where the seek bar would become "stuck" to my mouse movement and start skipping the track around.

foobar2000 is also on Linux

Dopamine > fooshit
It's FOSS too.

Is casiopea Jow Forums approved?

Works on Android too but I just use Samsung's thing on it since it's native to the device.

>Dopamine
It looks like shit, though.

/mu/ has no idea was constitutes good audio.

looks better than foobar...

nah.

>autism speaks

That looks pretty shitty though.

These days I just use mpv --shuffle --loop-playlist

It's great and everything but say you put work in and get it all set up nice with it loading your music collection. Then when you want to listen to just the odd song by someone you've just downloaded you can't be arsed loading up all that shite and open with your default video player or something with no and move on with your day.

I like it but the default key bindings are retarded. First time you download it you try to pause a song and realise your spacebar isn't assigned to pause/play. Who was the retard behind that decision

You do realize you can make foobar look just about any way you want, right?

Unless you are talking about stock foobar, which looks like shit and only a massive faggot would use.

Picture Related, 3 Different foobar layouts.

All three look the same though...

>KoRn
>Korn
>Linkin Park
>LINKIN PARK

I bet you listen to (c)rap "music", or "retards attempt poetry".

I remember unironically saying this when I was 13 lmao

Came here to post this

foobar2000 is my music player of choice on Windows and even my iPhone. Adding music over the built-in ftp is the tits.

>using the built-in botnet
>thinking it's not an open FTP for all the files on your phone
lol idiot.
I bet it even auths with root:alpine just to laugh at you.

Musicbee

Same here (except Android). So goddamn convenient
I still haven't been able to get it to work from a different network though

Protip: don't use it, it's a botnet. (the FTP function)
If you're on android just use rsync.

Name 1 game that doesn't have dx9 nor works on Linux
