Heyyy Jow Forums xDd \

r8 my pc build

Attached: Capture.png (1230x443, 35K)

What do you even expect to run on it? I assume you didn't add a GPU?

Comes with Intel UHD Graphics 630 with shared graphics memory

I'm not doing anything high end, just wanted a reliable everyday computer with a decent CPU. So only an i5, but 8th gen, and 6 cores.

You could have just bought a thinkpad for half of that

Don't like Lenovo and no more laptops. I'm replacing my Dell 17 inch laptop with an AMD 8 processor that is about 4-5 years old. It's so slow now it's painful to use.

Good enough for office programs

It's not a bad PC, but buying a pre-built is frowned upon here because they are more expensive and more difficult to upgrade than one you built yourself.

I actually did the same thing you did when I first got into PCs, bought a pre-built. I wound up stripping it and recycling the parts into something that I built myself and that will hopefully last longer since I can upgrade it myself.

For example, most prebuilts come with a shit power supply- ergo you can't install a GPU aside from a 1050ti which gets all its power from the PCI slot.

If you had spent the same amount of money assembling your own PC, you might have been able to get a comparable processor AND a GPU.

For example, you could have gotten these parts for around the same price:

Now, if you don't know how to get a cheap copy of Windows, can't install the parts yourself, or don't want to have to buy wifi/bluetooth adapters on the side, then building your own PC may not be for you.

But if you can get over those hurdles it is far and away the superior option.

>processor, case, and windows
>my pc build

Are you recycling some other parts?

I have no idea if it's worth the money but what really stands out to me is the lack of an SSD. Running programs from an HDD will be a pain, especially if you're gonna be using windows.

>just buy a laptop lol
Thinkpad brainlets are so annoying.

Dedicated GPUs are honestly kinda useless unless you have some specific use-case.
>if you don't know how to get a cheap copy of Windows
You'd have to be a brainlet to install windows, let alone pay for it.

>Dedicated GPUs are honestly kinda useless unless you have some specific use-case.

Of course, but is there anyone posting here that doesn't want to play at least some gaymes or edit videos?

>You'd have to be a brainlet to install windows, let alone pay for it.

It's the world's #1 operating system my nig, and Win 10 really isn't that bad. Paying full price, though... that might make you a brainlet unless you are a business and can expense it

No I think he's shit posting.

What's your use case, OP?

It's a fine normie machine. Just remember that these commercial desktops usually have small PSUs and an annoying case interior with proprietary mounts for shit. If you want to be able to upgrade in the future, build it yourself.

Looking for everyday, reliable, fast desktop, to run Windows and Office programs. Don't play PC games or anything like that. No high end stuff, no mining cryptos.

I'm too tech dumb to build my own computer so have to go with pre-built machines.

DUDE YOU'RE GETTING A DELL

Holy fuck that brought me back.

Check the desc on the OP and check the post he's replying to.

>IntelĀ® UHD Graphics 630
>oy vey, it was originally $898 but now it's $539, what a great deal goy!
Autistic deal for an autistic shintelfag.
