Flexing on C++/Python dudes with your crazy javax.swing GUI skills.
javax.swing is disgusting
>self explanatory
Because c# is superior.
I liked JavaFX. What happened to it? It seems so dead.
Because it literally is dead ? Oracle is removing it from the platform and will no longer pay anyone to maintain it. It's open source now for what that is worth.
i don't know java
Jow Forums likes to be unemployed. Personally, I love Java. It's the best lang out there.
Sad. I did a class project with it back in 2012.
Cross platform interpreted languages are a meme. If I am going to use any, it is going to be platform specific.
Only valid reason.
C# has better features but shit performance and it's a literal who language and microshit monopoly.
Source?
the source is Oracle. Read the damn roadmaps they put out.
Nuh uh. Gimme link.
What the fuck, I love Java now.
Bedrock is c++
Still gets you a paycheck.
Weakly-typed languages are shit for huge projects.
One of the easiest languages that supports actual multithreading.
Any enterprise-quality application
t. MERN stack bootcamp grad
>shit performance
It's close enough to Java, anywherr that's not fast enough you shouldn't be using Java in the first place
>literal who language
It is 3rd when it comes to number of jobs, right after Java and JavaScript
>Microsoft monopoly
The .NET framework is like 90% open source now, .NET Core is cross platform, and there is an enormous ecosystem of libraries by independent developers and other companies
JAVA BAD

writing a NN system to predict dick lengths from trap photos. Message OP for more details.
I like to use it to write my own administrative tooling. Not something I use for any other purpose. is J2EE still around? Has J2EE been supplanted by anything ?
the lang is fine. its the platform that is shit for a ton of use cases.
Perl
I like Java, easy for building cross platform applications, has decent library support and build systems like maven that make managing a large project with multiple dependencies easy.
>Why don't you use Java, user?
public class BinarySearchTree
Because I like Ada, I used to think Object Pascal/Ada were verbose but now I think its maximum comfy
What's confusing about that?
There's nothing wrong with that code whatsoever.
For bridging a bunch of tech that industries use and android development. Those two off the top of my head
>programming sock
is kotlin-chan a trap?
JavaFX 11 was just released brah
>posting java
>book is javascript
My name is not Pajeet, Pranjeet, Rajeev, Vijay, Rajeesh, Ramakrishnan or Markus
because java is too old
>old
Baba Java
IntellliJ manages to make programming in Java fun.
Personally, I find it way too verbose. It's a powerful language no doubt, but if I can use a language that's quicker to write and test, I'd prefer that. Used to also use it for Android dev, but nowadays, I'd only do that if I need performance, I might opt in with other options, like web-based otherwise, since that's the easiest way to piece GUI and functionality together
Their IDEs are pretty god-tier for any language yeah
Based.

>Asking if a girl posted on Jow Forums is a trap or not
You seem to be new here
It's kind of hard to write kernel space code in Java.
What
What did you not understand?
>unbloating the JDK by letting users simply maven import javafx means java is dead
Hmmmmmmm
>it's still more readable than C++
