Only $54 canadian rupees. That's 40 real dollars.

*First 3 month then $140/month consequently

>20mbps DSL or 100mbps throttled cable in my building
>500mbps fiber in building across the street from the same DSL provider

Just use the other IS- oh wait

Around 30 USD per month. Not so bad

$70 Canadian dollereedoos a month
This is considered fast
Fuck you city fag

Attached: why.png (781x193, 29K)

I don't give a shit, I'd pay it. Super jelly.

nice ip farming op. Too bad, i have dynamic one

Imagine being poor

Attached: image.jpg (350x200, 51K)

if I was paying that much a month I'd expect uncapped, unrestricted, unmonitored 10-gigabit like that one ISP in Sweden does.

Only 8 european pesos a month. Suck it ameridumbs

>only 30% of average monthly income in Lithuania

Reminder that the average internet in the United States is faster than the average internet in 90% of Yuropoor countries. Faster than the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Attached: 1537749076.png (824x2005, 195K)

>nominal connection speed unweighted for price
Go back to enjoying your datacapped $50 ADSL, based lardbro.

That's outdated.

US is faster than every single western Yuropoor nation except one small Island.

Attached: usa (2).png (545x2145, 84K)

>weighing by price
Ok, then I guess we have to double the prices Yuropoors are paying for a fair comparison since they earn half as much as an American.

dubs says max speed in this thread will be 1 Gbps

I fucking love Bahnhof

I get nearly double that for a little over 54 real rupees

54 rupees? That's almost 1/4 of your entire income. Seems a bit much for internet service.

Stay mad, but watch it with browsing Jow Forums too much. Your datacap might just run out.

Attached: aer.png (342x480, 33K)

>oh look at these 3 tiny cherrypicked countries with less than 10m population, if I compare them to a country with a population of 300m they have a higher income
I can play the cherrypicking game too.

Attached: 1537750376.png (543x693, 93K)

did you not read op or are you just a brainlet?

You're a brainlet if you think comparing internet prices in absolute terms is meaningful in any way.

>Europe is one country
Stay mad.

>Bell
enjoy your data cap faggot

I never implied that it was you fucking retard. You're not Swiss though, just another Yuropoor stuck in the rest of the Yuropoor area.

Weather must be pretty clear out.

This is the fastest in my area, though they're starting to line the main highway with fiber.

I'll be long gone before it reaches this house.

Attached: myinternetspeed.png (350x200, 21K)

>simulating insanity
Bold strategy, Cotton, but again it might adversely affect your data plan. Be careful.

Again, you're not Swiss, so you're a Yuropoor wallowing in poverty. Have fun with your gigabit internet costing 1/10 your monthly income.

This is state university internet in the third biggest city in America, kinda expected better desu

Attached: uic internet.png (1120x567, 83K)

FUCK QUEBEC REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Go to a university near a military base.
You'll get God's internet speeds there.

First 12 months, then $80

Maybe my friend... Anyway this is at a dormitory, the speeds in the library are like 500 down, it's bretty good

Attached: 2018-09-21.png (1920x1080, 266K)

>you're not Swiss, so you're a wallowing in poverty
Well neither are you, so enjoy wallowing in poverty with datacaps, angry boy :^)

I don't have data caps, and my income for last year was at least 5x yours. So I'm not wallowing in either data caps or poverty Mr. Yuropoor.

I don't think your allowance counts as income, user.

I don't get an allowance, unlike most Yuropoors.

>US parents can't even afford an allowance for their children
Case in point. Stay mad. Toodles. :^)

I did get an allowance when I was a child. I don't anymore since I'm an independent adult who makes regular income, much higher than yours. Yuropoors are the ones that live with their parents for their entire lives.

You two should just fuck already.

Top tier in my country

Most people don't get 3Mb

Attached: speed.webm (960x1184, 434K)

Going to miss it next year when I have to go over to NBN with 95/38 at best and dips during peak. Currently get constant 115 down at all hours no peak time slowdowns. Faster upload will be nice but losing 20mbps download will be a bit of a loss. Costs $99 a month for unlimited. People have used 6-8TB a month before isp has a bit of a whinge.

Attached: Screenshot_20180924-114524_Speedtest.jpg (1080x1920, 193K)

$55 usd a month

Attached: firefox_2018-09-23_18-52-53.png (698x140, 25K)

I dont pay a cent for my connection. also have 2 DVR boxes and a landline in the house as well

Attached: Untitled.png (1440x900, 102K)

Whats with Spectrum and their god awful upload speeds?

This is the lowest tier they offer which is why I get it for free. Just pushed out an update around the state to get the system ready for DOCSIS 3.1 and with it, upwards of 1Gb speeds within the next year or so

That's any cable DOCSIS provider.

They simply don't have the channels available to provide equal upload to download, since most customers are downloading, not uploading, they end up provisioning most of the channels to downstream connections, upstream being in the vast minority.

Comcast does it too, even at 1gbps download, you get 35-45mbps upload.

Centurylink? Anyway your Building owner might have a contract with the Cable provider to block fiber. Meaning your landlord sold you out.

Has nothing to do with being poor.

This too. Even on a HFC network you are limited by coax. The fiber backbone midigates some of the issues but channel bonding gets more and more sensitive the higher the QAM your system uses. to get 1Gb speeds you need about 4096 QAM which has no real room for signal errors compared to the current 256 QAM.

Once you go fiber to the premises you basically just have to make sure your line doesnt get knicked, bent too far or broken and you are set with your simultaneous down/up speeds

sometimes hits 1000mbps. its $85/mo

Attached: bot.png (398x589, 17K)

The google speedtest isn't the best from my experience.

I can hit 800-900mbps on steam downloads or torrents, but I still generally max out around 500-600mbps on the google test.

Attached: 2018-09-23 23_10_01.png (384x286, 13K)

yea, it usually scores lower than other tests but i dont care enough. I share it with 5 other people so who knows how hard they are sapping the internet right now either, but i only pay $15/mo so im not complaining (when im not playing debt collector trying to remind them to pay)

>Bell

You're gonna get so fucking destroyed once the promo period ends.

>but they said I'd only pay $100 a month after

Everyone single month after your bill is going to increase by 5-6 dollars, they're fucking thieves.

I wish nothing but suffering for everyone who works for our ISPs, yes everyone.

Yeah, I've heard bell is cancer.

If anything, Videotron might step their game up and get FTTH in my building within 12 months. Or just lower their prices in general. I might snag a returning deal with them, and just ping pong ISPs

Thornhill Ontario here. Only time my connection really pisses me off is when I have to download a new game.

Attached: 7660918260.png (350x200, 21K)

I fixed the issue by switching to Virgin mobile home internet, they're available in Quebec and Ontario. They essentially are Bell, hell their smiling Steve modem/router combos are just refurbished Bell2000 modems but they target younger customers, don't offer TV and their bills stay the same as if it were a cellphone plan. I pay $50 for 50Mbs which is more then enough for 4K Netflix and my bill hasn't budged for 2 years now. Also if something breaks they send a Bell guy right away unlike that nightmarish time I had to deal with Teksavvy.

At least I don't have to keep calling CS to tell them to stop fucking me in the ass.

Also, cancelling and swapping between Bell and Videotron comes with a hard credit check every time.

Looks like Virgin caps out at 100/10 in my building. No can do, I do way too much uploading for that.

As for the credit checks, not worried. I have good credit, the small impact from hard checks is worth better internet.

Sorry boys

Yeah, the OLT is provisioned for gigabit, since it can be updated remotely, just enjoy the speeds while it lasts.

Happened to me back in 2011, I upgraded from 25/25 to 50/50 and it ended up being 300/300 (at the time their fastest speed tier) lasted for 6 months before they noticed and changed it back to 50/50mbps

4g on my phone

Attached: 4276525991.png (350x200, 21K)

I don't even care, 100 mbit is enough for me in the first place. Upgraded from 25/25 because it was cheaper bit never felt like it was slow.

kys french nigger

Literally just throwing money down a toilet, no reason for above a gigabit.

I pay 4 (four) euros for 100Mbit dl/up.
LOL.

France:
30€/months, 15€/months first year
2000mbps dl - 500mbps up
TV w/cable and a few channels with subsciption(real price ~40€ more), unlimited phonecalls in France and colonies.

Oh sorry it's 1000mbps dl - 200mbps up
Still substantial.

I have spectrum but I was a former TWC area and have never changed my package from the TWC era ones so I still have 100/10. I think if I did switch it would go to 200/10 but then I lose the good about this package and can never get it back.

I’m in Chicago. Let’s meet up mein nigger.

Bahnhof my dudes

Attached: Selection_002.png (483x200, 18K)

Impressive. Very nice. How long did it take to get set up? How much was the total cost (installation + activation, etc.)? Do you have to pay for any equipment?

I live on a literal mountain, I'd say that this isn't too bad.

Attached: asasas.png (563x114, 15K)

>$140/mo
What the actual fuck?!?
t. Finland

I'd rather not live in Sweidstan and pay $140.

Welcome to Canadian Internet.

Lack of government regulation and support permitted the formation of regional media and communications duopolies across the country. Long distances and a small population organized into a handful of urban centres does not help either. Mind you, it used to be worse: about 6 years ago, it was normal to pay about $60 a month for 10 down, 6 up, and a 60 GB monthly cap.

pls send help

Attached: 180924150548-1911.png (600x400, 58K)

Installation is up to 90 days, though generally actual installation time is a week or two once the contractors start their work.

$500 install, $500 activation. They set up a Juniper ACX 2100/2200 switch on-site that gives you an SFP+ handoff, or a 1GbE handoff. The router they supply is only capable of 1GbE, so if you want to actually use the 2gbps speeds, you have to supply your own router.
The Juniper ACX 2100/2200 could easily act as a router, but it's not set up that way, Comcast are using it essentially as a Fiber to Ethernet converter. (a very expensive one at that)
