evil-mode

Neonazi vs nazi

vis vs vim vs neovim vs nvi?

Nazi because neo-nazi is pro-israel

Does it support all of the features of Vim?

nvim is pretty comfy.

how is neovim any different than vim? it's still the same shit, it just has more bloated default pluggins

honestly I just use nano

shit how do I select lines with mouse

>not using superior vi
Stop bloating a text editor to hell and back, vi is enough for text editing needs. If you want emacs then use emacs instead of spawning the Frankensteins monster that is Vim and its derivatives.
>misc1.c
>misc2.c
Jesus fucking christ.

Yes, many vim users migrate effortesly to evil-mode

Why do you prefer it over Vim?

The cursor thing it does is pretty cool.
command mode cursor - █
insert mode cursor - |
waiting for another key press for command (when you, for example press r) - _
It also doesn't use ncurses because ncurses is shit. - person who tried using ncurses

kakoune

I tried kekoune but vim has more plugins and stuff

Oni, it's neovim with Electron, a perfect match

vi

It chooses to support Lua instead of Uganda.

Zura

never used nvim, what's it got that vim hasn't?

Vis

The nvim specific plugins have much better performance due to a proper async implementation

So far the one thing that stands out to me as being better is that if I am in insert mode and quickly hit "O" it is very responsive. In vim, it hangs. I do that very regularly, so that has always bothered me about vim.

Okay today is the day I give neovim a try. What plugin manager to I use? I am used to Vundle, but honestly never really thought it was amazing.
