Looks like sapphire cards
+150USD
look at RTX 2080 and RTX 2080TI. They are selling for 1350USD even though MSRP is 999 USD
Stop kvetching and just buy it
Despite Nvidia saying it can apparently do six "gigarays", am not too confident about buying this and about enabling RTX features judging by how the 2080 and ti are performing with that star wars demo.
I'm surprised avram piltch hasn't killed himself yet
Have you seen GaymansNexus video where an industry expert is a guest and they talk about Nvida RTX?
Just wait until you get to the "denoising" part. Holy fucking shit the amount of noise in the Nvidia RTX shadows and lights are gonna drive people insane.
The noisy shadows sure are realistic and that's how it works in real life roforloflrolfol
This is an odd looking VHS tape.
that's not a bad price...
Just buy a used 1080Ti from some faggot who upgrades every generation for a fraction of the cost and 99% of the performance.
finna buy one tbqh
a GTX 1080 SC from EVGA was $634.99 in december 2016.
>VHS tape
had to look it up
what the fuck was that?
never forget the six gigarays
seriously tho can't i crossfire a couple of Vega cards for $600
>Mfw just ordered a 1080Ti for 600 euros.
The thing your dad used to store his porn on.
yeah and you can save money on your heating bills while making your electrical bills go through the roof
2 wins and a loss
but can it do
VR
Looks like an XFX card
based and redpilled
>muh vega high power usage
why is that allowed?
>industry expert
>can't tell heads from tails in the cornell box shots
>we can to fake the car flames reflections with screen-space reflections
>screen-space reflections can't be used on curved surfaces
His expert is on the level of script kiddies.
nvidia might aswell blow up the prices while AMD is down trying to make Navi what Vega was supposed to be, the prices will probably drop once navi and the 7nm boiz come in
capitalism
Not gorgeous enough to be Sapphire.
Don't get founders edition? (don't get any edition until prices level out)
this happens with all video cards (yes, even AMD) on launch week (sometimes month if demand is there) just wait, yes they do rip off day one people, don't be an idiot, problem solved, god bless capitalism.
You cant enable RTX even if you want it to because literally no game that you can play right now has it. Same goes for dlss. You're just buying the same performance as 1080ti at extra cost
By the time those technologies become actually usable the prices will have normalized. People who bought these right now are complete drones.
i think by the time these are mainstream a whole new generation of cards would come out that will run it maybe without that much performance loss, right now people are paying for a novelty that may or may not be meme
source: PhysX... remember that meme
Remember guys that amd still hasnt fixed the UVD bug which fucks up gpu clocks to couple of 100-s mhz.
nailed it, if people care it will happen, otherwise stick it in the 3D/VR bin.
free market
No way, his dad was too Beta
Should I consider it or just get a 1080Ti?
>PhysX... remember that meme
It's a very nice framework for physical simulation, I have an access to nVidia's repo. Unreal Engine uses it as well.
*framework = middleware
in the gamedev terminology
2080ti. Just buy it. Ray tracing is the future
>GTX 2070 at $600, 1080 level performance give or take
So unless the GTX 2060 is $350 to $400 they're going to have a huge gap in their price stack. Does this mean they have nothing for the actual entry level or mid range segments? No more $200 GPUs?
How about instead of stacking endless amounts of processing power, some of these cunts sort out foveated rendering so that we don't have to buy a new card every 2 years. Shit, with foveated rendering a card from 5 years ago could run anything modern on giganigga settings.
JUST BUY IT ALREADY, YOU FILTHY GOYIM!
>an industry expert is a guest
this kind of expert?

>1080 performance for 1080 price at the release
T-t-thanks
It's funny how hey set a low MSRP knowing that retailers won't be selling for that price anyway and FE that will be sold on their site is conveniently +150$
Look guys, it's cheap, for reals!
>1080 level performance give or take
Wouldn't that be slow?
>until prices level out
So never? Prices are dictated by mining demand now, they're nevwr going down to "normal"
The 2080 is about neck and neck with the 1080ti. The 2070 is a step below, performance within a couple percent of the 1080.
Just shutup and buy it.
#IBelieveHer
They will once the crypto memebubble finally dies for good
>gpu manufacturers
>lowering prices
lmfao
Who is even GPU mining any more? Its impossible to make money with buttcoins, no one is ever getting a GPU mined coin again. Eth? Not exactly the hot commodity it once was. There is not big rush for GPU mining on any of the alt coins. Mining ASICs are more popular than ever too, some bleeding edge 7nm ASIC chips are set to come out soon too.
