I'm new to coding, can someone tell me why i keep getting this?
I think my syntax is good
I'm new to coding, can someone tell me why i keep getting this?
I think my syntax is good
>Windows for programming
I hope you are trolling cause those are Windows from the ice age
Your syntax is not good and the error message tells you exactly what line your problem is on. The problem is also underlined in red.
Basically you're retarded
Sup Dylan?
kill yourself rddit
>He doesn't use Visual Studio
LOL
Literally what the fuck is that last block.
kys dylan, this board is not your personal tech support
Jow Forums does not exist to do your homework, Dylan.
OOPS.
anyways this isnt my homework. this is like my 2nd day of coding ever and im pretty much teaching myself. idk what the fuck im doing im just watching youtube videos. help
Try reading the error, Dylan.
idk how to fix it. ive been trying to fix it for like 2 hours, if i knew how to do it i wouldnt be posting here
Do yourself a favor and read a book instead.
Only children like OP do, which also make the overwhelming preponderance of users who post here.
Oh, Dylan. Good job so far and great desktop, sweetie. Give it a few years to let your brain develop a little more.
>posts anime
>tells others peoples brains they need to develop
kek
y u so mad?
>"pch.h"
Oh, classic Dylan.
Did you at least try to find out what happened to the file? Like, actually finding where your .exe file is?
>i think my syntax is good
>newlines before opening curly boys
Dylan! You son of a bitch!
I agree, but that's a more etiquette issue, and not a syntactical one.
it's gone, man.
pch.h is better naming than stdafx.h and precompiled headers can speed up compile time in large applications
>It was never there, man
FTFY
anime website
>I care about your naming scheme
Does pch.h exist in your include path?
Did you fix that error ("missing function header")? Compiled it again? Tried to compile it manually using the console and g++? Creating a new project and copy and pasting your code? Google the damn thing?
There are too many variables over here, OP.
if it's in the same folder(s) as the rest of the source, it doesn't need to, although i use a neat cmake script which marks each file to use the correct pch
not op btw
Yeah I made a new project and copy/pasted my code
Okay, why respond?
Make sure "pch.h" exists.
i was hoping you were aggressively prejudiced against precompiled headers, misinterpreted your post user
Not everyone here is an overly aggressive autist.
hey it's worth a try sometimes, can be amusing
figured it out. program still wont run tho
>:(
I see that but that's what the tutorial i'm watching says to do. ive checked it a few times so i don't know what im doing wrong
Maybe if the instructor has a thick indian accent, you should just find another video. Also, you don't need a return statement in a function that returns nothing.
