Technologically speaking, this image is very nice

Full-drive encryption is a terrible idea.

No, I use to use dm-crypt on zvols but now I just use the zfs built in encryption.

How is that one? Have you successfully moved a pool with that between hosts?

Why? You do take backups, don’t you user?

I can live with that. Google tracking me through captcha is far worse desu.

>implying you'll have the time at 5:30 in the morning when the landlady rings the doorbell or they will camp for the exact moment when you'll be going out for work and you'll get surrounded by 4 officers out of nowhere
yeah, because police officers are monkeys who didn't thought about it before and are inexperienced in such things

if they were, intelligence officers wouldn't expose their sources for persecuting some pedos, but rather for something more serious matters like national security
when they would build a case against you, they'd have to expose how they got the keys during the trail, which would burn their source

It's not a matter of backups.
It's that by design, it can only be a stupid hack.

opinions about luks?

>not storing you hard drives in a microwave set up to the alarm system

I have always used a store-vm so while I could give it a try and move it over to ZOL I usually just trunk a current *BSD every 6 months.
