How do I stop ripping pads off when soldering? This is like the 7th one. What am I doing wrong?

is this bait? how do you even do that
not good enough bait, it seems
>t. doesnt know the first thing about soldering
Less heat more lead
Roughly how hot? I’ve been at ~350
It's not necessarily about temperature, but also how long you are heading up the pads
Alright, so is 350 a good temp or not?
Stop going fucking supernova on the pads? This is really basic stuff.
what solder are you using?
does it have lead?
Use more flux.
It's written on the lead you use dummy
I got a cheapo $20 kit, doesnt have any info on the solder
Nvm, says its 40% lead, probably shouldve opened a window
well use less heat then, maybe get better heads for your iron taht dont spread heat so far or dont spend so long with the iron on the board
sorry, you wont die from lead poisoning that easy, 40% is fine btw
I can't solder surface mount stuff either, even with the right tip, solder, and magnifying glass. Some of us just don't have the dexterity.
If I gave up on something everytime it became unreasonable to continue, Id still be in my moms pussy
Good luck to you then. I hope you still have hair when you're done.
You just have to be patient, use the right tools and practice a little
One time I breathed wrong and spent the entire night looking for a surface mount resistor on the floor. I still solder, I just don't mess with surface mount stuff. It's better for my sanity this way.
