What distance do you plan on using this TV at?

This chart is a rough estimate, but really at 4k res you need to sit either really really close, or have a MASSIVE panel size.

I use a 43" panel at around 2.5-3 feet.

32" 1080p.
If you're a soi gaymer, 4K.

4-5 meters

The model i mentioned is 49inch.

4-5 METERS?

lol what the fuck? That's 13+ feet.

That chart doesn't even cover that distance because that's a fucking retarded distance to watch a TV at.

Plug in the numbers yourself, this uses the THX suggested viewing distances.

a 49" 4k screen should be ~3-7 feet

For 13-16 feet (4-5 meters) you'd need a ~100"+ panel, and realistically you'd probably want something closer to 130" or 140" in size. Simply unreasonable for any normal household environment.

OK,let`s say i will use it within 5 feet, what is your opinion about that Samsung?

Decent, but i'm not a huge fan of the curved panel meme personally.

I have been eyeing the Phillips 436M6VBPAB, it's not a TV, it's technically a monitor. But it has HDR1000 support, 4000:1+ static contrast ratio, and an amazing black level.

At least on paper, it's one of the best looking displays currently available, at least until you look at OLED and the higher end Samsung QLED sets.

Wow,thank u for the charts, gonna look into it

>Phillips 436M6VBPAB
Very decent display, but i really want a TV
I`ve been searching all day ,and on that price range, screen size and most important 120hz,that model suited the best.

When a TV says 120hz, it's not really 120hz, it's a 60hz panel.

cnet.com/news/beware-fake-120hz-refresh-rates-on-4k-tvs/

basically it's just software tricks so they can claim 120hz "motion rate" or similar buzzword.

U say there is no tv with native 120hz?I`ve read on rtings.com something else.

There are a few, but none that I know of in your price range.

For example the Sony sets that have Motionflow XR 960 hz are actually native 120hz panels.

The Samsung i mentioned claims the same, where i can really check this hz problem

If it says 120hz motion rate, or similar marketing word, it's a 60hz panel.

If it says 240hz, it MIGHT be a 120hz panel, but could still be 60hz.

This blows my mind.Does really matter 120hz?Maybe they compensate with motion flow and shit

>Does really matter 120hz
Depends, it's better for movies since 24 fits evenly into 120 so you don't have to do 3:2 pulldown.

Im thinking for like 3 days like i`m buying a car..fuck tv`s..Have u heard about no DTS support for 2018 Samsung TV`s?That is why im looking to buy a top 2017 model

>Have u heard about no DTS support for 2018 Samsung TV`s
You should be using a receiver anyway

Even with a receiver ,people say,u cant passthrough.
displayspecifications.com/en/model/794eae9
displayspecifications.com/en/model/86d7a7b
The second ,cant find in my country.

Also ,Samsung doesnt launch same model in every contry, they are retarded

.... i see no evidence it wouldn't work with a receiver.

I was talking about 2018 series, both tv mentioned are 2017
