I'll start
Good software from Microsoft
We don't do that here
Visual Studio
Visual Studio Code
Frontpage
Excel
OneNote
Paint
IE11
PowerShell
0.00000001 rupees have been deposited to your account
fuck you I liked it
Active Directory
Funny how 99% of these are telemetry including powershell
I agree with all but Frontpage
fuck me was that awful
>Visual Studio
>Visual Studio Code
>OneNote
>IE11
>PowerShell
Trash
>Paint
Buggy and useless
>Excel
Bloated with telemetry
If you use Windows machines, Mouse Without Borders is fantastic and works (in my experience) far more seamlessly, lag free, and "just werks" than competing mouse/keyboard sharing utilities.
>visual studio
good
>VSCode
meme garbage
>frontpage
disgusting
>excel
the single best piece of software made by microsoft
>onenote
only good because evernote is worse
>paint
shit
>IE11
shit
>powershell
a desperate attempt to make something as useful as bash that came 20 years late and is still inadequate
visual studio vs visual studio code for c#?
voat.co uses dot fucking net. I don't know why... love the platform hate the code.
powershell is actually quite useful in the context of windows, especially if you're familiar with c#
Typescript
Excel
Direct X
MS Paint
Notepad
Solitaire before botnet
Free Cell before botnet
Spider before botnet
Klotski
3D Space Cadet Pinball
Rodent
That one with the red and white ball
Windows Live Messenger 8.1
DirectX 9.0c
Chip's Challenge
The Zune PC client sucked. The Zune HD itself was excellent
Many of these were Windows programs that were not written by Microsoft
shame that its speed is worse than a retarded snail. tried to use it a few times at work to merge multiple csvs - each of them had about 1500 rows, single columns - and it took eternity. moved to c# and the action was instant.
Excel
Halo (not even a gaymer)
VS Code is bloated as fuck and the autocomplete fails to work every second day
Well, the old Windows games were the only thing that had the Microsoft logo that weren't bloated, botnet and actually worked with no problems that I remember. A shame they weren't even made by Microsoft.
At least WLM 8.1 and some previous versions are considered good, right?
Visual Studio with Resharper
Visual Studio Code is not great for large projects, it's nice for small ones.
As a Linux fag:
>MS Office 2010
>MSSQL
>Active Directory
>VS Code
>Server 2012
I think I missed something, but that's basically it.
Are you suggesting that we find out exactly which projects were outsourced, contracted, etc?
If its got the microsoft name on it from day one, its a microsoft product as far as I am concerned.
>Visual Studio
Good. VS2014+ is great, especially with the integrated graphics/DirectX debugger.
>Visual Studio Code
No. It's just a meme editor that tries to copy atom.
>Excel
Can't even format datetime correctly. There's also no option to turn off its formatting.
>Paint
No. Photoshop.
>IE11
You mean "Edge"
>PowerShell
No. Get a real tty like bash or zsh
>master of the universe tier
notepad
>BASED tier
paint (before the ribbon shit and the UWP shit)
solitaire
freecell
spider
pinball
>good tier
powershell
visual studio
>shit tier
excel
ie11
vscode
>don't care tier
.net core, I only use vanilla .net
frontpage
muh tap to share
Not him.
No. But at least remove software that didn't have anything to do with Microsoft to begin with. Chips Challenge, for example, was developed by Epyx, and released on the Atari Lynx first.
since there are so many winbros here should we start a comfy windowsbro general?
>3D Space Cadet Pinball
just a trial version (only has one table of 3) of someone elses' game
things used to have so much soul back then
those were the days
>get a real tty
t. retard
powershell has much tighter integration with windows APIs and is much more powerful than any sh thanks to .net integration
what sucks is - there's still stuff out there, new stuff being made today with the same amount of soul - but its so hard to find because there's so much shit its impossible to find it. in addition, 'the masses' are generally so ADD and have no taste, so things that are popular are shit.
vscode
.net core now feels like .net 3.5
alot of shit is still missing
>bashfags are so deluded thinking their shit shell is any better than batch
linux turds are retards, it's not a new thing
We use it at work.
does anyone even use .net core
the applel appstore-type thing m$ is trying to force will make it worse
i opened
>download.com
and found TWENTY fucking trackers and twenty ad elements
for reference, hiroshimoot has 5 trackers at max
NT
PowerShell
F#
Lean
Bob
I was playing that as kid.
Never understood what I supposed to be doing.
me neither, only played to crash into the rainbow shit and stall long enough to have the yeti run at me
Fpbp
Anything but Internet Explorer/Edge
pretty sure i saw .net core as a requirements in two or three companies
having to use linux servers is also a big plus
