Used old parts is where its at, I pulled an i7-4790 out of an old HP.

You're not wrong, but ASUS with their backplates on the TUF line are a godsend if you've got a heavy cooler.

Your case is typically aluminum nowadays, it'll bend under heat more readily than the PCB will.

I remember the bad old days with the P4's and Athelons when you'd build a full tower, run it for a couple months and the cooler would have warped the board.

the VRM in these are rated for overkill current supply @ 2.0 volts. they're insanely good.

in fact, this board is better than any other lga1151 series 300 board, period. the only time any board out benchmarks it is that sketchy CEM enablement shit on a two boards that i know of.

this board is fucking insane. it's built to the exact same standards that supermicro servers are, aka they are meant to last forever. and the bios looks chinky but is way more in depth as far as overclocking goes than anything else.
