- Case of main PC it about to change to a Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5
- Cabling will be done from zero

My only issue is that my Model M is not good for gaming and any other keyboard is not good for typing (for me), so I ma stack with two keyboards for now, until I get a desk that fits one in a keyboard drawer under the desk.

The setup is to accommodate, work and entertainment.

Any constructive criticism is more than welcome

I am a full time network and security administrator... never had a single Cisco cert, though at some point I need to collect some... i guess. The Cisco equipment are used for learning, experimentation and proof of concepts. I also have a 36 unit rack full of Cisco equipment in the basement where is cool and the noise does not annoy me. note that most of the Cisco equipment is provided by my employer, which is super cool.

The system on the left is a homemade NAS.

Pi Cluster is used for Python projects on distributed computing, as a learning tool, and to create traffic for network simulations, experimentation etc. The other Pi is used for multiple things depending on what i am working on. The Intel NUC runs pfSense with Snort IPS.

My main computer is a i7-4790K, 32GB RAM and a GTX 1080. I run Win 10 for gaming and dual boot Ubuntu for work, with a Kali VM, also for work.

Laptop dual boots between Win10 and Kali for work.

This was my previous flat, I used to spend too much time on work Projects, I try now to get more AFK and enjoy Life in my free time, I'm an SysAdmin too. My Servers are in the dorm powered off atm until I decide what to do with them.

I live in Russia where people are fine with modifying and using old tech, so prices for old stuff are relatively high.
You should be able to get similar stuff for significantly cheaper if you live in Europe of North America, maybe even for free.

The one right next to the monitor is a PVM-1271Q. The one to the left of that is a PVM-20L5.

He could certainly afford the 1271Q given that that one cost me $80 shipped off of eBay, which is a notoriously bad place to find deals.

The 20L5 definitely will set him back quite a bit, but I’m aware of at least two instances this year of people getting them for free just by calling up lots of video editors, and they sometimes turn up for well under the going rate in more obscure auctions and the occasional lowballing recycler.

That said, a higher-end VGA monitor with a scaler for anything that outputs below 480p would be serviceable and more consistently cheaper alternative if you just want a CRT with very good PQ.

It's slowly coming together. I'd like to get some real motivational stuff hung up on the walls. I'm considering a flag or something as I just can't decide on some real art. Mostly I can't get over the fact that it might look corny once I hang it up. I'm a perfectionist in that way I guess.

I normally never set up the PS2 but I've been killing it at work lately and I want to wind down and get lost in something. However, investing it in a skill or making money is always nagging me in the back of my mind. Oh well, sometimes it's nice to just rest.

Could I ask for some advice on a table and chair?
I'm just looking for a table that's large enough for both my monitor and my keyboard to fit, with enough room to push my keyboard enough and put my tablet on for drawing.
So basically I just want a good, large, table that's of decent height and doesn't have that pullout keyboard gimmick.

I also want a super comfy chair, because I've never really had a good chair and I want to give myself a little present with it.

Any recs?

Building a desk isn't hard, and it's the cheapest way to get a good solid desk.
Don't wanna fuck around with building legs, or don't care too much how your desk looks ? Get two of these bitches and just lay a top of your choice on them: ikea.com/gb/en/products/desks/table-tops-legs/finnvard-trestle-with-shelf-beech-art-00225293/
They're not pretty, but as desk legs they're rock solid. Great option if aesthetics aren't a priority. If you care how your desk legs look, then go figure it out yourself.

As for the top, pick whatever kind of wood you like. Make it thick, and make it big. Your desk isn't going to be outside, so unless you're the kinda nigga who like to cum all over your desk or some shit you don't really need to treat it or anything. It's whatever.
Again if you don't care much how it looks, you can go with something like MDF. It's cheap, it's solid, it'll get the job done. If you do care how it looks you can still go with MDF and just stick a veneer on it. It'll still be cheap and solid. If you want a durable ass desk that you practically can't ruin no matter how hard you try, just get laminated MDF.
Solid wood is fine too, but that shit gets expensive real quick. MDF is a nice and easy material to work with and you can have it in any size you might want without having to join pieces together.
Most important is that you get a good, THICC slab. It should be at least 2.5cm thick, thinner slabs like to bend a bit.

As for size, you want a 90cm deep desk. Width is whatever you have room or need for, but make it 90cm deep. That's important, gives you plenty of room to push your keyboard around and rest your arms on the desk. You don't need shitty arm rests on your chair.
If you make your desk real wide, you may want a support bar or two underneath it. Just get some L-shaped steel bars and screw those bitches in.

Chair? Hit up an office furniture shop. Try out some chairs.
