In NYC the majority of dev jobs are in the financial world which is getting hit by outsourcing hard. There are multiple hubs in NJ that exist to contract Indians to financial jobs in NYC.

Barely managed to contain my laughter half of the times I had to interact with them. Their only saving grace is that the American home market is so ridiculously strong that they can be very inefficient and still constantly find new customers.
