ive seen people holding a dark blue and blue font i9 box also thou that looks normal sized.
I would imagine its just a limited run and that's the normal box?

Where have you seen this? The only packaging I've seen for the 9900K is the dumb plastic mess and the reviewer package.

still that reviewer package looks like what they will box this in once they run out of trapezoids its the same as the 8th gen boxes.

Nah, it's much larger than you think it is. It won't be the retail packaging even if they do stop using the plastic box at some point.

Of course it will, even a low-end ARM chip is enough. The funny part is that emacs runs about as fast on any machine, files with long lines and having line wrapping enabled will trash even the fastest machine around.
