Well,

>people shit on kaspersky for having russian gov backdoor allegedly
>people unironically buy and shill US based AV products

the fact of the matter is that either US or Russian government COULD force them to backdoor with ease, either by legal or technical means.
In reality i think both are already used by governments as part of their SIGINT programs.

So the answer is use neither and develop good security by using a non shitty OS and practice good security habits.

Kaspersky is a good company. Amerilards are fucking retarded.

Using Kaspersky right now.
I'd rather have the Russians spy on me from 2000 miles away than have the domestic market spying on me from outside my window. After all, the Russians can't do shit about what I do here.

whenever i upload a keygen or .exe to virustotal and Kaspersky says it's safe, I know that the file is fine.

way too many antivirus false positives on gamer gaming cracks

If you're American, you should be more worried about US gov backdoors in US AV than in Russian gov backdoors in Russian software

Nobody use this shit.

>Kaspersky debacle
It's really sad to see people falling for muh Russian boogeyman meme

Could a virus theoretically be delivered through a lightning?

From the number of exploits Kaspersky has been uncovering they certainly look much more trustworthy.

I'm using it now. It works fine and doesn't annoy me. There's always one fag with "muh russian spying on you" while their fat mutt ass is using free avast or some shit like that.

this, kaspersky has the lowest rate of false positive while having highest detection rate.

why did they get blacklisted by a bunch of agencies ? i heard the nsa incident was an nsa agent being a tard

Because Burgerland is in the midst of another retarded muh Russia red scare.

absolute npc

>politically motivated
>still can not prove that russians were involved in any way
>get rid of russian antivirus app because they wont take off yara rules that catch malware supposedly coming from "russia" (CIA)
>it angers US
>US replies by saying that kaspersky is evil
>kaspersky in reality is leading research into virus detection
Thanks Hillary.

I use bitdefender because it scores as highly as Kasperky but has a lower footprint, and I can pick up a 6 month key for $1

pretty decent

Kaspersky it's the only AV that doesn't purposely leave holes used by the CIA/NSA unpatched

should i buy it ? it's only 15 bucks on newegg

This. It's also why I have no problem using chink phones. In my line of work foreign spying to steal IP isn't a thing. I fear my domestic intelligence service a lot more.

what more can you expect from non-free software

Just use the Kaseprsky cloud free it only lacks trusted applications mode and firewall that paid version has and there are better alternative for both of those

>kaspersky
>not GNU/Linux
lmao

>why did they get blacklisted by a bunch of agencies ? i heard the nsa incident was an nsa agent being a tard

pretty much. A former NSA agent took his work home and threw it on the home pc to work on it. His AV (kaspersky) detected the malicious files and uploaded them to the cloud for further analysis.
The Israeli's informed the Americans that their software had been discovered by kaspersky and 'may' have been passed on to the GRU.
Eugine Kaspersky denies that last part but does agree the files were detected and analysed.
The NSA agent also had approximately 50 Terrabytes of data he had taken over a 20 year period. He ended up getting a 6 year conviction and at 67 he isn't young.

NSA got butthurt that they kept exposing all of their malware.
kaspersky's the best AV by far. it's the only thing that works against 3-letter agencies.

Woke af.
Even if they were to spy on me, they can't do shit and can't put me in jail.
Symantec, Mcaffee, F-Secure and others have been exposed and they work with FBI/CIA/NSA and ignore their malware.

Antivirus with good technology in. But russian spy (as a russian myself I approve it).

source on this you fucking russian faplet

For me it is more or less the same, but since I am russian, I coundn't give less fucks about Google, MS, Mozilla or whatever the fuck else is spying on me. However fuck Yandex, fuck VK, fuck Kaspersky and any other russian botnet as long as I live here.

Kaspersky is great. We use it for RMM. Locks down EndPoints hard which is great for normies when they click on ransomeware.

I'm fairly certain Kaspersky even offered governments and businesses access to review the sourcecode. Everyone memes out now though and hates them because of muh Russia.

this.

This. I wouldn't touch Russian-made malware with a 10 feet pole.

>I only care about the parties that can put me in jail.
What the fuck do you do with your computers, people?

Ruski pig botnet

>the fact of the matter is that either US or Russian government COULD force them to backdoor with ease
Kaspersky is a filial of FSB tho. Eugeny was a FSB agent and they have some kind of internship there.
