Moto G6 is a fucking awesome cheap phone. To be fair though, you can get the Moto display feature on pretty much any phone. To be honest, if I didn't have a Pixel XL which has better specs the G6 is what I'd pick up right now. So if you like how it looks and the specs are good enough, you're only making a good choice for not falling for the 4 digit phone meme.

Pooloophone is out of question if you live in the US right now desu. OnePlus 6 is the better choice if you can get it for cheap. If you can afford it though, it might be worth waiting till the 6T announcement

If you're actually being serious, then I'd consider getting the Mate 20 Pro when it launches, it's rumoured to have 5x optical zoom (most smartphones with telephoto lenses do 2x optical zoom, P20 Pro does 3x).

Good cheap phone for a friend that has custom ROM support? I was thinking one of the Moto Gs, but the model names are confusing. They don't just increment the numbers normally, there are some with a year in the name, and it seems the new one might have poor support. I don't know the differences between the normal, play, plus models.

I remember it coming out, but I know nothing about it. I haven't got a need for a video chat, and I don't use proprietary software, though.

this. I was using mine for a while, but removed my stored prints and switched to using pattern unlock only. I read too many things about how law enforcement and such can demand your fingerprint even when they can't demand a password. I didn't want to risk rebooting my phone in a high stress situation so it would require the pattern, so I just removed the prints.

For that user who asked yesterday Installed lineage 16 on pocomeme, a few things I don't like but they're mostly android 9 quirks and not issues with the rom itself. Pretty stable so far apart from a crash during the setup process. Pretty much everything seems to work, and I'll probably keep it. It also manages to fit a single notification icon to the left of the notch (turns into a dot if there are more than one tho) which is still miles better than MIUI which doesn't have anything notification related in the status bar.
