Bug was in 2008 and closed in 2011 with comment «it works ok on my player» — and his player isn't even the same that in OP of the report, not even close. I do know that people install chink CCTV and alarms (my folks used to have a cctv/alarm company) which are available locally and everyone without a license or expertise in security systems is installing one. I can't vouch for their quality, I remember that they are easy to hack and lack security measures that most low budged ademco or brand names have (power outage detection, phone line outage detection, sensor errors and such), not to mention sensor quality (you can't compare honeywell to chink sensor). I'd suggest taking the cheapest brand name with quality sensors if you want to protect your house but most of the time burglars will just ignore the alarm or wait until the alarm dies off. I'd recommend getting ip cameras with movement detection and have it connected to your phone/mail for notifications (there are open source security systems which can be installed on linux and connected to most webcams/ipcams), just be sure not to buy cameras which require online service for recordings.
Sorry, but not what I'm looking for as it's not headmounted and I don't have a desk near my bed.
