I found a computer on the side of the road, it's a Core2Duo with 2GB of RAM and 1,5TB of HDD space (it has 1x1TB and 2x500GB but one of the 500GB drives is dead). What should I do with it? Thinking of installing Arch and turning it into a home server.

Pic unrelated, will post pics soon.

>side of the road
likely stolen and dumped. did you run photorec?

where do you buy these dolls from?

I agree, programming socks threads are much more important

It didn't want to boot Xubuntu but I finally made it work.

1TB drive has Linux installed and a partition called "backups"

It was among a pile of other typical office rubbish. Cardboard boxes, a broken chair, etc.

Contents of "backup" partition. Many folders contain just logs and binary backup files (?) but...

There may actually be enough information in there to get access to other systems.

Found a whole lot of what looks like SVN repos

Could be worth some money

You should of livebooted from a cd and retrieve the files from the previous user.

Top fucking kek

What do

>This home gets it.
....
Did you mean homie?

The computer seems to have Redhat installed, I just booted Xubuntu to look into the disk.

It was looking into the /home/ folder looking for ssh keys but there isn't anything, is there any other location I could find them?

Found some obfuscated C source code

Here's what I'm doing with my old desktop I'm turning into a home sever:
-installing OpenBSD because it's a server and gives me an excuse to get familiar with gnu/linux systems
-NAS
-DNS server (pihole)
-Tor relay node to learn about Tor
-personal possibly internet facing git server
-wifi access point (need an adapter but still)
-pentesting practise when I get better
-general fuck around. Was originally going to use my laptop for that but invested too much time into the Gentoo install to risk fucking it all up.

Google it, they won't be in /home for sure

Op wtf are you doing start the apache service run a browser and go on 127.0.0.1

Good idea

brb

give it back jamal

aweonao

I've been looking around and the sauciest things are the SVN repos and PHP code. I'l upload those somewhere for Jow Forums to check out and wipe the drives.

>cp
looks like we found his porn stash

See what the power usage is and figure out if it's even worth using. My company saved almost 12k a year swapping out 10 year old hardware for more low powered options. Worked out well for me. They got me a new laptop

>it has 1x1TB and 2x500GB but one of the 500GB drives is dead

Check for nudes on those HDDs

yeah a fag with Linux installed gets sent nudes.

more like check for tranny shit and cp.

ozzraven significa algo para ti?

> installing OpenBSD
> to get familiar with gnu/linux systems
Low quality bait

>brb
>1 hour later still nothing

>wiping the drives
wtf why. Just install your shit alongside, there's a good chance there is something valuable there and you haven't found it

LOL
