55$ for 720p gayming seems comfy

>he thinks it's FX

Beats the alternatives for ~60 bucks. not bad. now, if only I knew a fitting m-itx board...

>intel-aviv

it beats g4560 doesnt it?

desu i'd build a 200ge shitpostingbox/multimedia box with it. $55 seems like a good deal and the only gaymes i play are at least 7 years old anyway. i wonder if you can go passive with it seeing hot it's only 35w.

if only ddr4 prices weren't that shitty.

Seriously, can somebody recommend a board, and fan for an M-ITX case?

Gigabyte has a decent one but it's a bit expensive, you're better of getting a full size boards of you wanna be economical

it's a zen core, ya dunce.

GA-AB350N
NH-L9a-AM4
works for me.

Have you seen the LSG video on it, this CPU is crazy good for the price.

Aby smoll boards do expensive, literally less parts needed to manufacture them

I am waiting for the 240GE

The 200GE is using Zen cores, you massive mongoloid. Do your own research before trying to make up shit.

How good is the Vega gpu on this thing compared to Intel HD Graphics?

This is a Vega 3. The Vega 8 on the 2200G delivers about the same performance as a GT1030 (the proper one, not the shitty gimped version with DDR3 memory). This Vega 3 should be on par or slightly better than current Intel HD offerings, as in, don't expect to play vidya on it, but it'll probably load the game at 720p/1080p minimum settings.

If you're poor this is a good starting cpu, since it allows you to do general computing while still rendering some older games and even new ones if you're just into the esports genre.

FX was pretty good desu, especially for the 70 bucks you can get an 8350 for

It's good enough for 720p gayming

I like this wojak

It's not Bulldozer anymore you stupid cuck.

>i wonder if you can go passive with it seeing hot it's only 35w.
Im pretty sure a hyper 212 or gammax or something will cool it passively just fine.

looks like a fine normie processor.

Including the iGPU performance, yes. Pure CPU performance, not.

Less demand so there's lower produce which ramps up prices due to economy of scale. Mass production of common boards is cheaper even if they have more components.

>desu i'd build a 200ge shitpostingbox/multimedia box with it
This. I'll probably build a new PC for my parents based on this. The CPU part is almost as fast as G4560 and the GPU part blows G4560's HD610 out of the water.

It's almost twice as good.

I was thinking I need to replace some office pcs soon. This would be much more appealing than getting old haswell machines and the g4560 and it's successors have greatly inflated in price. They've also lost their niche thanks to the 2200G

b450i gaming ac

What is the IPC of these processors? Similar to other zen architecture chips?

Yep, cause it's zen.

Actually at 35 W TDP it seems like a good choice for passive cooling.

did someone say passive

Attached: passive_heatsink_1.jpg (311x343, 28K)

4 core Athlon when?

for what purpose? 2200g exists

Attached: passive_heatsink_2.jpg (744x669, 135K)

The 2200g makes it harder for them to justify one.

I want cheaper price and no integrated GPU.
Also B420 boards when?

Well, crap, looks like I have to settle for an uatx then.

Not happening since the 1200 exists which was basically superseded by the 2200g. They can't really fit it in that well.

Pretty good.
IntelHD is history they scrapped all developments and drivers thats why they called that Indian guy from AMD in their graphics department.

t.salty IntelHD owner

The absolute Pentium destroyer.

wow that's so cheap! now let's get some RAM to get it working, I'm sure it will be just as chea-

>intel-aviv
Haven't seen this one in a year. Still holds power when it's rarely used and properly.

FX sucked, but later gen excavator-based APUs actually weren't bad up until the point that Intel got on 14nm.

Same. Actually may be slightly higher due to 2.5Mb cache per core instead of 2Mb. But Ryzen IPC actually increases with clockspeed due to all the uncore also overclocking along with it. You see Ryzen at 4.5GHz actually having higher IPC than Coffeelake at any frequency. So hard to say due to the lower clockspeed of this chip.

>being this butthurt over a 50 USD CPU with minimal power usage and integrated graphics
Poor user

The Athlon doesn't support overclocking - not even RAM, so you're limited to 2666 Mhz.

what would you compare the 2400g to? I have one with 3200 ram and it can play anything and everything

RX 550

you don't need more than 1core for gaming not even 2.

only reason Ubisoft games run worse on less than 4 is bad programing and drm not actually multicore

John Carmak did a lecture last year saying multicore realtime 3d games will never ever exist like not even in 100years its impossible to put rendering engine on multiple cores and physics AI and animation use like 1% of a cpu and will be on gpu soon.

why dont you just get a normal sized motherboard instead of litterally cucking yourself into having less ports?

imagine how a RX 540 would perform.

>you don't need more than 1core for gaming not even 2.
Then explain this.

that looks like some weird sea creature that id be afraid to touch

I have pics turned off but if it's a desktop then you can passively cool CPUs with TDP up to 95W.

carmack said that
and i think he knows a little more about it than you do, pal, because he invented it!

stop stealing games nigger

Are you working at Principled Technologies?

What did Bill Gates say about memory again?

when did he say that? ten years ago?

Are these AI generated like that NASA antenna

And how big would a 95w TDP passive cooler be?

In pure performance, its roughly equivalent. In iGPU it slaps G4560 and any other intel iGPU

The Pentium G4560 is closer to the Ryzen 3 2200G in price these days.

Are you retarded? It's a cut down R5 2400G

>implying this is a 2008 chip just because they used the "Athlon" name
Do you also think Pentium G4560 is a rebadged surplus 1995 chip?

>low end shit
Who gives a fuck?

$50 CPU that can play light gaming 60fps is good for el-cheapo builds.

Since the (2c4t) CPU is ryzen based, the performance is quite good even if you upgrade to a discrete GPU like 1060 for 1080p.

The same people who shill Intel's low end G series and how the Ryzen 1200/2200G was costlier. There are a ton of people in this group for cheap and low spec CPUs.

This is a great answer from AMD.

Well good shit. I'll be getting my little sister one of these to replace her FX-4100 and GT210 build.

lol nah. I respect my imouto's privacy. she'll help me build it too. Although I make her tie her hair back when we build because last time her her actually got into the fucking CPU socket.

Depends how much airflow you have in your case.

.. the 200GE is built on the same process as Ryzen you nonce.
It benches about as well as the G4560, except without Intel's IGPU tirefire.

Piper Perri

*2200G

It has the same die size as the R3 and R5 APUs, pretty sure the goal is high yields for the R5 chip first and foremost.

>720p gayming
lol no. It's not a choice if you want to do gaming. You're much better off buying something like a used XBox if you want to play games and that's your budget. The 220ge is nothing and not worth considering for more than something like a HTPC which is used for playing videos and perhaps some simple web browsing and that's it.

>wonder if you can go passive with it seeing hot it's only 35w.
Look for a really big heatsinks which is rated for something like 140W. It'll be enough to cool a 35W TDP APU without a fan.

just go by the rule of thumb Bigger is Better.

>How good is the Vega gpu on this thing compared to Intel HD Graphics?
Both are useless. The Vega is "better" but it really doesn't matter since both are below the floor of being useful for anything beyond the simplest things.

>can play light gaming 60fps
no. it can't. buy one and you'll be disappointed. it''s not useful for anything beyond simple web browsing, watching video and things like that.

I expect RAM prices to come down. Right now it's a bummer, you're looking at spending as much on 8 GB RAM and the 220ge and a motherboard.

>he doesn't know 200GE is the king of poorfag gaming

Lel I passive cooled my c2q easily gaggot

Would this on a b450 board with ECC RAM make a good pfsense build?

dethrones the Intel G shit, which is good enough
