Anything good for $20? I'm totally open to used stuff. All I need is something better than a 2005 rubber dome piece of shit. Please spoon feed me, I'm poor and stupid.
>$20
Go to a recycling center and hope they have some old mechanical boards. That or a uni throwing away ancient keyboards.
Cheap chiclet boards are okay.
go to goodwill or unironically facebook/craigslist
What good 75% is there apart from the Race 3 ?
I have it in reds but now I want browns because yes linear really does suck for coding, and I'd rather get another model.
Flat and low profile would be nice.
The Keycool 84 on AliExpress looks pretty dope. Idk if it's junk though.
This is the kind of keyboard that gets my dick hard.
Filename nigga.
Yeah, I looked up the pornographic images using the filename.
I'm thinking about purchasing a Bluetooth adapter for my keyboard. Does anyone have experience with these? I want to buy the handheld scientific adapter and some power bank.
I have a G710+ Brown with doubleshot PBTs in red and white.
Did I do good Jow Forums?
>Bluetooth
Chances on a new colorway within a month or two?
Or looking for another tkl with clears, race 3 any good?
Thanks for your input.
looking into the hhkb; should i get the JP/JIS version if i might be doing data entry/spreadsheet work? the modifier navigation kinda spooks me on the regular hhkb, afraid i might run into some software that can't work properly with a 60%
someone explain to me why hhkb is so popular
>ctrl on backspace
literally any qmk keyboard can do that and more
>form factor
there are other boards with more keys/layout options for cheaper and in the same form factor
why do they spend so much on them?
Am I failing at this mechanical keyboard thing?
I built a ErgoDox, put linears in it with Gateron Clears and have orings on it. But I'm trippling up on the orings so it bottoms out just below the activation point.
What the fuck. Are there microswitch boards?
premium japanese cup rubber in a shitty plastic shell that flexes like crazy
>Am I failing at this mechanical keyboard thing?
>gateron clears with orings
yes, yes you are failing. why not just get something heavier so you don't bottom out?
Short travel times are kind of comfy. I didn't have a problem bottoming out very frequently, I just hated the sound the linears made when it happened. Had a few extra so I slammed them on my shift and It's kind of nice.
Also half the reason I built my board like this was my membrane and blues were fatiguing my fingers after hours of use. I want to find something lighter then these.

Logitech g6710+ with browns. I like the keyboard since it's good for all-purpose stuff, but I want something specifically for typing
Reposting since I wouldn't mind more input, but I'm currently considering a leopold fc660 (though I haven't been able to find one that ships to canada for an okay price) or a Tada68. Anyone want to redpill me on the Tada, actually?
Anybody know what kind of switches would be on a modern IBM POS terminal?
Working retail rn and I love the keyboard when I'm cashiering. It makes a heavy "kerchunk" when you type, as opposed to a high pitch click, feels linear and is pretty heavy in terms of actuation force.
Would love to have a home board at 65 or 75% with those switches.
>buy reprogrammable macropad
>media controls are no longer accepted by anything
>even using browser extensions the inputs won't be received unless the window is active
FUCKING WHAT WAS EVEN THE POINT
Here's a video on that subject.
spent a mostly pleasant 40 minutes relamping this chinkshit keypad from GAYMER FCUKING BLUE to warm white. I only lost 4 LEDs out of 22. I think I hear them rattling around the case
the TKL gets the same this weekend
Are there anyboard other than realforce for an user that want a TKL with a JIS layout?
A Filco Majestouch
neat
here's an example

What's this "prefect clear sheet accessory" ?
This man makes $15M / year writing books on a rubber dome keyboard. WHAT A DUMB FUCKER.
It's not even 40% and the caps are not colored! WTF?
im a filthy gaijin, i dont know
>tfw I will never own a tenkeyless keyboard ;_;
No one in my country likes it. I can find some online but they are at least 150 bucks.
Just buy from China like a sensible person
>No one in my country likes it.
Based country.
If you like it, then you did good.
What's up, gaymer?
Looks just like the one at work, thank
Personally it's not to my taste. /mkg/ seems to like things more like pic related
>paying twelve pounds extra for multicoloured lighting that does nothing and you're almost definitely never going to use
If you think having a dongle sticking out of your port and a power bank hanging around (and having to pair it and shit) is more convenient than just a lightweight wire going directly to the PC, then sure I guess
Ebin rbg for increased gayming prowess :^)))))))) who needs build quality when your plastic can light up in ANY COLOR OF THE RANBOW

Preferably a white keyboard but it is probably fine if it's black
Trying to get a keyboard for my girlfriend but she's so fucking picky. We've only found a couple and they were up in the 180 euro range. Her current keyboard is some weird Shark brand thing that I've never heard of, but it is pressing keys multiple times whenever she types and I wouldn't know how to fix that. Can anyone help me out with finding a new one that isn't going to cost a fortune?
Doctor said I need a keyboard pad for my wrist. Any recommendations?
Should I buy a 1998 122 keys model m? Or do I just buy a unicomp at that point.
How about you stop being poor and buy the mechanical version
I like being poor.
I bought it in Golden Oak.
I ended up getting on the next group buy for some zealio 65g and need a board to put the switches in. I'm lazy, so I would like a tenkeyless hot swappable board. any opinions on the non-backlighting Z-77 vs. the GMMK in terms of quality? amazon.com
Z-77 uses outemu sockets which for some reason are different from every other switch out there. You can use it, just know that you have to modify the pins in order for them to fit
shit, that is a great insight. thank you!

Check out the Anne Pro 2 with box switches, if they're the version with the revised stems. There's a white version of it as well.
>arrow keys
>anne pro 2
How about u read first?
Can't go wrong with a ducky if she wants backlighting.
boomers don't know
your doctor is a quack.Wrist pads most of the time damage your wrist more.
Explains why it is taking him forever to write his book.
Yeah we just found a ducky at a semi reasonable price. Probably going to go with that. Thanks
Arrow keys in fn layer, uppity nigger
Yeah I doubt he meant that nigger. He probably meant dedicated arrow keys not one that requires an fn layer you brainlet.
Honestly you're right. We play some games that use arrow keys constantly and holding or toggling fn would probably be more trouble than it's worth. No offense to the guy suggesting it though. He had no way of knowing how important having arrow keys would be from my post. It certainly looked a lot less pricey than the ducky too. It's a shame
>1 purchaser needed
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
buy a second one
Sell me on it
Like getting bitches, I only go one at a time because my mom taught me morals and shit.

>10 dollars off next massdrop product
Looks gay tho
You failed buddy. Better luck next time
Literally overpriced garbage, a fucking tada68 with an alu case is $80 cheaper and better in almost every way. Unless you specifically want the arrgeebee or just like this particular case design + keyset so much that you're willing to overpay by 50% for it.
buy a fucking soldering iron and make your own you fucking mongoloid
>These mongoloids not understanding the magic of not having to solder.
So uncivilized.
>tada68
>no hotswap
>no usb c
kek
what keycap printing method are they using?
doubleshot pbt, but I am not even getting the keycaps or switches. I am going to add my hako box royals with whitefox keycaps on them.
Tai hao PBT + ABS infill
why u lying user?
I had it, but I decided to go with the ctrl high-profile keyboard
>tada alu case
>Thin and barely covers up the keycaps
kek
>no hotswap
Literally why? Do you have a set of switches for every day of the week or something?
At best I'd understand having one hotswap board to be used as a testbed if you want to embark on a really expensive DIY project and want to be sure you have the perfect switches. But a testbed board is absolutely not worth $230.
>no usb c
Now this has absolutely no consequence, and besides doesn't the new tada have USB C? Or maybe it was something else. I know you can get it in bluetooth though. Or fucking solder a replacement connector you can probably get for $3
I'm not
Well I trust him more than Jow Forums
Thanks
>Literally why? Do you have a set of switches for every day of the week or something?
Cause soldering is a pain in the ass, especially when you already have switches on the pcb with backlighting. This comes with backlighting and swappable switches literally saving around 3-4 hrs of soldering.
>no usb c
It has 2 usb-c slots where you can literally daisy chain it to a numpad or use whatever you want with it.
Also like the guy pointed out
That alu case is thin and barely covers the switches.
>Literally medical studies from actual doctors that state the dissenting opinion
k. Enjoy your RSI.
First mechanical, sorry for bad lighting. It looks much better in real life. Ducky One 2 with Brown switches.
Comparison... The tada68 alu case sucks.
I'm too lazy to leave my house to go to best buy
I can't get clears on the board I want, so it comes down to blue or brown.
Which one is the least pleb tier, and are blues really that loud or it just a meme?
Pleb tier? All cherry switches are "pleb" tier at this point. Yes, blues are loud, but apparently feel really good. Are you concerned with irritating people? Then get browns.
>All cherry switches are "pleb" tier at this point
Even clears?
Are you concerned with irritating people?
Yes an no. I live alone so I don't have to worry about that, but as long as they don't pick up heavily while on discord or skype then I guess blue would be fine
Clears are scratchy as fuck and have an issue where the stem latches on too tight and literally gets torn off.
>12
Fucking rookie numbers son. Gotta get that number up.
What switches do you have?
I'll probably just get what you since you seem like a cool guy, and I want to be like you.
>Clears are scratchy as fuck
I don't understand this dumb hobby and the degenerate community. clears aren't that scratchy, this is coming from someone with box blacks.
Box Navies. No commercial retail store sells them though
guys I'm about to fall for the meme, pull the trigger and order the Anne pro 2 once and for all. am I doing good?
