I'd like to buy a 2400G, waiting for a decent price on a gpu. What price point is considered "on sale"?

ETA?

Athlon 240GE available when?

as close to a 100 and as far from 150 as possible. I wouldn't pay more than 130 and even then, that's almost a 2600.

Just waitâ„¢
#poorIntel

the MSI one looks cool, like an alien discotheque

MSI for me. I would install 3 PCIE-SSD in RAID-0

Go back Tyrone, you have no Idea.

Why did intel go full retard with the prices? 530 bucks for 8 cores? Really?

this is too much

why does a computer have to be a lights show

also how do i turn off the led on my corsair h60 lm a o

Bios/UEFI settings?

a display on a mobo to play pacman while debugging when

Only germany can buy from them

But I'm absolutely without a gpu right now. I don't want to buy a temporary gpu just to use a pc. Also I plan to upgrade the cpu when ryzen 4xxx will be released.

didn't see anything there desu, as far as i can tell the light is directly connected to the pump power itself, and corsair link doesn't even recognize the cpu cooler

Wrong, they ship to multiple countries.

Because they'd rather produce Xeon chips that sell for a bit more than that.

I'm probably going to waitfag a few months after the 3700X launch so I can get it for

Not anymore for like 2 years

personally, I'd recommend a 2200G, it's the best value for money, it can overclock easily to match 2400G stock and with a dedicated GPU, it performs only about 2% worse than the 2400G. the only somewhat worrying factor is the 4 threads on the 2200G as opposed to 8 on the 2400G, which makes it 0% futureproof but since you're anticipating an upgrade in 2020, maybe it's not a concern at all. thing is, maybe with a 2600 you wouldn't have to upgrade at all and buying that with a GPU now would probably save you something like a 100 bucks in the long run. neither is the wrong way to go probably, and maybe waiting for the next non-refresh GPUs with a 2200G will prove to be the smart man's choice, but at the same time, the sweet spot for those cards will probably be bottlenecked by the 2200G and you will want to upgrade sooner than you thought originally.

as a rule of thumb, it's always best to buy for your current needs.

oh and, if you're really desperate to put a machine together now but upgrade later, maybe consider the 200GE to tide you over.

Makes sense, but I forgot to mention that I'd reuse the cpu for a general use + light gaming pc at parent's house for them and my young brother. That's why I was considering a 2400G, to be more future proof.

if you plan to reuse it and not try to flip it for a quick buck then yeah I agree, 2400G is a good choice.

They used to go on sale for $130-$135 but I haven't seen that price for MONTHS given that they're pretty in demand and laptop manufacturers are buying them up for 2500U/2700U/2800H laptops.

If you really want the best possible APU to tide you over... you just have to bite the bullet and pay more.
Since you plan on upgrading the CPU until 2020 then the extra threads definitely help. Some games just won't run over 60fps minimums on only 4 threads even if you turn settings way down.
Since you plan on passing it down, yeah that's all the more reason to just go 2400G as well. At least RAM and shit is a bit cheaper now.

why is Jow Forums chimping out over $500? CPUs are supposed to be expensive and as much of an experience as buying a gpu.

No one has a problem with $900+ Threadripper, poorfag.

Stop kvetching and just buy it.

>Avoid cheap MODELS ie MSI Armor (Mk2 is ok), Gigabyte G1/Wf, ASUS dual, and others w/ small heatsinks and low quality fans
Whoever wrote this OP is pulling bullshit straight up his ass.
These cards have been best value with their prices and the cooling only make you lose like 2 bins from the nvidia turbo which is like 26MHz. Big deal.
The MSI Armor has the same fans as her bigger sister, and a 1070 doesn't heat up that much anyway.

I have some 2014 Intel Xeon, can't remember the name atm and I'm at work. My gpu is Nvidia Quadro 2000d and I have 16gb RAM. On most games, I get noticable fps drops, even on Ori and Hollow Knight. If I upgrade only my CPU to 2700x, will that improve my in-game performace slightly, or do I still need new GPU?

>NO Speccy. Use HWinfo
Why?

what's up with the blatant racism on this board?

>Quadro 2000d
Slower than a GTX 650.

You need a new GPU.

Speccy is shit for temp readings.

Just change the GPU, easier and more effective. Yours isn't even made for gaming.

>CPUs are supposed to be expensive

Attached: 1539392261419.png (554x400, 305K)

>CPUs are supposed to be expensive
I remember that there were anons who paid $500 for the 1800x, and they ended up saving even more money after they upgraded to the 2700x.

Did AMD release the update to play 4k Blu Rays from disc yet?
It's been a few months since they announced they would, but no confirmation as of yet.

I wanted to get a motherboard z390 with wifi/bluetooth.
But must it come with this dildo thing for it to work?

Attached: pic.png (708x614, 174K)

Why not taking a board without wifi and take a PCIe card that will be much better and serve you for the years to come?

ASRock B450M PRO4 enough to push a 2600X to 4.25GHz?

You can always get a different type of antenna.
Just have to make sure the connector matches.

>zotac 1070 mini or 1070 FE
the mini is cheaper but is it worth it? i have no plans on overclocking

because it only costs a little more between
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite
& Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi

No reason to be wasteful i guess.

Maybe the MSI Mortar.

ricer shit

gpu is cheap now. unless you want to wait for 7nm.
just get a r5 2600 and rx570/580 or gtx 1060.

thats what the kids want, right?
Who cares how hardware performs, whats important is the leds, color scheme....

corelet

>ignored
So most likely no.
>inb4 hurr durr optical drives

unlikely to be stable

Never.

No, you need a board with 32 phases and doubler. Also with liquid nitrogen to make your Ryzen stable above 4GHz.

Attached: ryzenthermalsolution.jpg (650x365, 44K)

Base thermal paste I have thats been sitting on a shelf for many years now is
Titan Nano Grease Temperature:39.3 --- Cost:free

Arctic MX-2 Temperature:37.5 ---Cost 4.5euros Amount: 4g

Arctic MX-2 Temperature:36.9 ---Cost 7euros Amount: 4g

Kryonaut Temperature:35.8 ---Cost 8euros Amount: 1g

I plan to use it with an air cooler for my new CPU.
What I have is decent and "free" but I wonder if it being on the shelf so long has effected it's performance.
The acrtic provide a decent amount of the stuff, 4g, and there is a temp drop and is over all okay
The kryonaut gives the bigggest difference but it costs the most and only gives 1g of thermal paste.
I dunno, seems like I should either use the shit I already have and have decent performance or get 1g of kryonaut if I want to bump those temps down the most.
Or am I wrong?

any B450mATX boards able to?

MSI Bazooka has gotten some good reviews. Not sure if it will meet your needs desu.

Found this and it seems to work while not throttling with a 2700X. Should work fine with me.
bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/motherboards/msi-b450m-mortar-review/8/

MSI GAMING PLUS AC is a beast of a mITX board, that one will do it safely. As far as mATX go, Mortar is probably the best.

what do you think of mATX gaming PCs?

POOMD

Attached: 1539620606727.jpg (1524x1936, 880K)

a sensible choice. smaller footprint than frankly stupid ATX which almost no one really needs, while removing potential worries in mITX builds such as thermals.

to the non-paid shills of both AMD and Intel: seriously, what do you get out of it? What's your motivation? What do you intend to gain out of shitting up threads and misleading newtards?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postmodernism

>an experience
Why are you shilling for stupid marketeers? The """experience""" is in having a functional and good computer, not in buying stuff.

>new intel CPUs available for sale in europe

>9700k going for 500-600
>9900k for 700-900

how are they expecting anyone to buy this shit?

nigga I aint reading that

>18 phase VRM with high end PWM controllers etc.
>lol leds, good ol' AMD without leds xD
Fuck off boomer, zoomer chads only buy Nvidia and Intel

Attached: fa4.jpg (720x693, 35K)

>why does a computer have to be a lights show
Really, is there even anyone who enjoys it? Apart from Linus RGB Tips himself, I've never seen anyone buying hardware for the sake of the lightshow; rather the opposite, I've only seen people disliking it. Who are these people buying RGB trinkets? Is it an Asia thing?

I actually do this to make AMD fags assblasted

A commendable objective if it weren't for the fact that you put in X effort for the same amount of butthurt generation instead of the proper as little work as possible for maximum butthurt

This is my post. Seems pretty short, no?

don't do this. you will get used to ssds and you'll start hating hdds for being noisy as fuck. seriously at idle i can only hear my hdd and it's annoying as fuck.

Do PNW and VRM function as a similar component?

PMW sorry

any idea why is it so cheap? It's $220 over here, where is the catch?

>im a poorfag
good for you user

spending money on stupid shit doesn't make you rich, chances are it makes you poor

start spending your money on nice things instead of toys

being able to afford whatever i want does make me rich. get a job faggot.

thinking you can afford it but in reality living above your means would make you stupid. just making sure.
