based on what?

Here we go again

Feelings. This time it's got to be true especially since RTX was just the 10 series with another gimmick attached to it.

It'll be faster than something. It won't be faster than your mom at an all you can eat buffet though.

>next gen might be marginally faster than current gen
Yeah, I'd hope so. Too bad I won't want current gen in the next gen.

What a surprise a new gen card faster than a card that will be 2 years older.

Based on a two year gap between the two gpus

I feel sad for AMDrones.
Have a (you) to brighten your day a bit my friend from bangladesh.

WHO HYPED FOR RX 590?!?!

Arcturus will be the nvidia killer

hhahahahaha

Navi 20 will be released 2020 or 2021, so until then there will be something better than the current RTX series from either Intel or Nvidia. Navi 20 better outperforms RTX by a lot.

Considering it's supposed to come out between 2020-2021, it better be.

>refresh of a refresh of a refresh of a refresh

If they'll manage to at least match Vega 64 for a better price I'm sold

Is this a falseflag ?

test

XDD

faster at disappointing fans maybe

Repeat after me

1070 level performance

Lol you are back

Let's start with a poor navi.

AMD needs at least two process advantages to match Nvidia

So 3nm AMD = 7nm Nvidia

>t. ayymd retard
whats the matter buddy? trying to recoup some of money lost trying to shortstock in the last couple of weeks? pathetic
make a thread once you have actual [citation]s or kys

is 3nm is even possible?

yes, the actual dimensions are much bigger, these node names are marketing.
Even 1nm is possible in the current naming scheme

There is nothing limiting linear scaling except for cost at the moment. Heavy EUV is going to drastically reduce costs, but the price to design an IC on these nodes is still substantially higher than previous nodes by a long shot.
The industry will keep scaling down using nanowire/GAAs and die area will improve for some time to come without much of a hiccup. The only hurdle is going to be price.

This is the minimum metal pitch and connected poly pitch. Actual front end features are smaller than that, user.

yes

Navi is expected H1 2019

get hyped for poolaris refresh and AMD Wait™ GPUs

>Actual front end features are smaller than that, user.
how much smaller?

t.

Any credible indications that this is an accurate estimate?

Amd have said it

No they didn't you moron

b-b-bbut is ok when amd does it!

Attached: 1497878953615.jpg (552x661, 71K)

>look mom i posted it again

vice versa

They did tho

They've announced 7 nm GPUs. They didn't announce Navi. Deal with it.

It is when GCN is becoming the x86 of graphics architectures. Even Nvidia can't help but steal more shit from it every generation.

At this point it's likely just an Nvidia fanboy trying to get AyyMD fanbois hopes up just for Navi to be seen as Another Massive Disappointment

i dont even care if its faster, no one in their right mind would spend $1,000 or $1,500 on a video card. i want it to be 1080ti performance for much cheaper and most importantly, i want it to come out soon. fuck nvidia.

Depends on the process and vt used. In the Exynos 7420, Samsung's first 14nm FinFET part, the gates are around 14-18nm nominally, that metric is totally meaningless for a FinFET though, only W matters.

When is navi?

The company hasn't said a single word about it, other than showing the code name on some marketing slides. They'll probably talk about it at CES at the start of next year, or they might do it at HotChips later, or that other faggier videogame convention I forget the name of.

Staying quiet about designs isn't a good thing.

>or that other faggier videogame convention I forget the name of
They wouldn't do it there, it's made up of too many Nvidia fanboys who eat up Jensen Huang's literal shit as though it's a privilege to do so.

>supposed to come out between 2020-2021
According to who?

Attached: images.jpg (739x415, 27K)

Navi 10 is expected H2 2019 with a possibility of early 2020. Navi 14 for laptops possibly somewhere in between and navi 20 which are the vega replacements are slated for like 2020/2021.

H1 2019

should be.
