I don't get what you're trying to say. RAM, storage, storage performance in MB/s [at a certain maximum IOPS] and so on are useful and relatively objective numbers. Same as the amount of SIM and microSD cards that you can use, and how fast the latter can be.

The problem is, Apple's top selling point is ease of use and customer service which isn't (as easily) quantifiable.

Also things like more RAM, micro SD cards and higher mah batteries sound great on paper until you realise the OS is less memory efficient, SD cards have much slower data transfer speeds than nand flash and the bigger battery still doesn't last as long because of less efficient processors.

I'm not saying it's all bad though, having a high numbers top tech competitor is good because it keeps apple moving forward and stops them getting lazy and releasing the iPhone SE 2: notch edition and shit like that. If it wasnt for android phones we'd all still be using shitty 4 inch screens like steve jobs wanted.

Is absolutely shit IMO. Even the simple task of trying to just back up all data from the phone to a standard NAS over regular SMBv2/3 or NFS or syncthing doesn't work easily, and the alternatives like iCloud are trash.

It's the apps if anything. And IOS has crappy scheduling behaviour under load... well, I last checked it 2 years ago, but it was terrible. As were many other things. Even diagnosing if the phone or a router fucked up networking settings somehow is a chore on IOS.
