You can't on the one hand complain about companies treating their workers badly, then on the other hand complain that companies are giving their employees time for lunch.

I understand they work that way, and I will just pick companies that offer paid lunch time, but it is just weird for me that people agree to something like that.

Also kind of, they are wasting my time, because nowhere in the offer it states that and they say shit like that on the face to face interview when you need to come to their office, and when I know that I'm not going to work in their company. At least now I know something like that is happening and I always ask on the phone about working time etiquette.

As far as why you have to work 8 hours a day, it's because you're not worth the hassle of hiring you for less than that.

If it makes you feel better, why factor in the 30 minute break into your hourly wage and think about it that way? If comparing two companies, you'll have a more consistent comparison for your wage.

I work 42h/week (8h 24m per day). 20m break is included in the paycheck.

You are free to employ yourself. This means you are free to take the financial risk to do so. Or would you rather feel safe and contract your work to someone else?

If they make it optional, some employers will pressure there workers to work nonstop without a break to eat. That is the reason it is required, to remove the grey area where exploitation can happen and be denied.

They don't have a choice in the matter, the state forces it upon them. They don't want to offer a paid break, so they have to waste your time with an unpaid one to (((comply))).
Protip: In most places you can elect to take the break at the very end of the day and just leave.

Just don't work for abusive companies if you can't handle it. That way they have to pay more in order to entice the more productive workers who can take it.

Nah, in communism the workers own the means of production and there is no government, so people can just chill out and distribute all food among themselves, so no one starves.

They are only making these "reforms" (which do not deserve that name as they are in fact just temporary smokescreens) by pushing their problems into the future with Keynesian hocus pocus that cannot be sustained. Hyperinflation abound and an import market marred by overdependence on the artificially reduced price of the US dollar as subsidized by the US taxpayer.
