Threadripper on LN2 can't even beat Xeon on air. Pathetic.

>Threadripper on LN2 can't even beat Xeon on air. Pathetic.
You mean a 32-core Threadripper on LN2 can compete with FOUR Xeons.

???

EPYC is Red you moron. Now where does Xeon have more?

Pic related. A single EPYC 7601 can absolutely fucking destroy 2x Xeon Gold 6138. The 2x Xeons have 40 cores/80 threads while the EPYC 7601 has 32 cores/64 threads.

>Now where does Xeon have more?

Intel nearly matches EPYC with almost half the cores.

And here's the same 2x EPYC 7601 benchmark with the Xeons losing handily.

Clearly it's the workload that OP posted that doesn't scale well beyond 32 thread or so. Look at the picture in the post you're replying to. That's an 8-core advantage AND a frequency advantage on the 2x Xeon's side yet they still spend twice as long.

Here's another picture.

Decent attempt at shilling, I'll give you that.

There are supercomputers that have 200 000 cores.

Flagged for antisemitism

>Decent attempt at shilling, I'll give you that.
It's not shilling, it's just a fact you moron. Tell me, if 40 Intel Xeon cores are as fast as 64 AMD EPYC cores, why are they twice as slow as 32 AMD EPYC cores in ?

Could it be that the workload matters?

>There are supercomputers that have 200 000 cores.
Right, but those supercomputers don't sign SSL certificates, do they? No, they run workloads heavily optimised for scaling with threads. Fucking moron.

>needs 2 intel cpus to match one amd cpu

>You mean a 32-core Threadripper on LN2 can compete with FOUR Xeons.
That's because 1 Zen core = 4 Xeon cores

AMD has the gayest fucking names no wonder nobody buys them

I agree. I wish they simply branded it as AMD Zen.

oy vey

holy fuck inlel-aviv shils are projecting again

Simply epic

AMD Zen would've been the perfect name. Which is exactly why they didn't go with it, AMD isn't good with naming.

I wanted to buy EPYC servers for the company where I work at, but none of our suppliers deal with AMD stuff. Sad shit.

More likely they couldn't trademark it.

Can't one trademark a composite? And AMD is trademarked anyway so always writing/saying AMD Zen should be protection enough, right?

not a single xeon has more LMFAO

No idea - I vaguely remember from an interview with Lisa Su when they announced the ryzen name she hinted that they couldn't legally secure the name Zen so they went with ryzen instead.

The absolute state of Intlel fags

Enjoy your 9900K for all of 6 months tops.

I thought Israeli schools taught English well??

Moderators please delete this antisemitic thread
