I live in a nordic country and sms has been the Main way to Contact someone since the 90. This is somewhat replaced by Messenger and such apps these days

In Nordic countries especially SMS has been pretty much replaced. SMS is pretty much a glorified 2FA app. This os in Finland. My last sent text message is from 2015

What the hell? I send SMSes every fucking day. Sure, I use snapchat to send a lot of messages. But SMS is nice to use when you really want someone to know something. Like "can you pick me up?" and similar messages.
