god i want to punch people in the face who unironically use this argument

>greyjak posting

But it's a good argument and only pedophiles and criminals try to refute it

who said im not a criminal

Attached: Tyrone_Phillips.jpg (300x400, 106K)

Then why are you posting anonymously?

Please respond with name, DOB, and SSN. I can get the rest of your information myself.

I bet you store your money in a bank and lock your doors at night you nigger.

Are you okay with me perusing your diaries, photo albums, and home movies?

checked

good numbers, mr criminal

Imagine being so buttmad you lost your argument at the other talos thread you have to make new threat with shitposting meme.

We already have laws that regulate how to store sensitive information (banking, medical data etc). Everything else is indexed. Why would you sperg out for someone finding out with a web search that you watch anime for example by typing your username into their favourite search engine? What is there to gain from hiding that?
I don't put those on the Internet in the first place so good luck haxoring through my 200 proxies.

kys

Funny thing, this is what a friend said when I was talking to him about the UK, then he used this other argument

>I don't put those on the Internet in the first place

Why not? if you have nothing to hide then why would you be worried?

Attached: 1539841080445.png (645x773, 92K)

You assume that your activites will never become a target in the future. Total trust in your government whose philosophy will never change. Ignorance is bliss; paranoia is caution...

The word "hiding" implies that I put those on the internet in the first place so it exists on the Internet. I didn't, so there's nothing to hide since there's nothing there. Nobody's forcing you to create a Facebook account for example and put all your holiday photos for everyone to see, yet people still do it. The same way nobody's forcing you to post on this imageboard.

I do have things to hide but those are already well protected by relevant laws/regulations from other individuals. I do not post stuff on the internet that I wouldn't show you in person. Also, I have the lucky privilege of not living in a third world shithole where the government censors your traffic or otherwise spies on you without you doing anything illegal (for example being a pedophile and instructing others on Facebook on how to get cp) so yeah, I have nothing to fear.
Do you have anything to worry about?

Imagine this logic in different scenarios
>If you have a dick why are you worried about hiding it??
>If you have nice tits why do you cover them??
>If you are not a criminal why do you close your doors during corporate meetings??
>If you have nothing to hide why do you keep dangerous biological agents in high security labs??
>If you have nothing to hide why do you not tell her she's fat?
Feel free to add

I knew these people were NPCs, the entire time that same bullshit line.

>NEETs hide in their basements because they know they're fucking ugly

>They use female avatars online to compensate for their ugliness

>They like Jow Forums because they can post shit anonymously that they're too beta to say to others IRL

the thing i think they don't get is that it's all about interpretation of data.. i don't want somebody reporting me as being a pedo or some shit because google reverse image search gave me "little girl naked" upon trying to source hentai (not even loli btw) nor do i want to be considered a terrorist, drug dealer, etc. because somebody's able to connect a couple dots and make assumptions about my life. that's why i have something to hide, i don't want the data to be misused against me, and as we've seen with the media you can easily ruin somebody's life by taking damn near anything out of context and nobody will bat an eye

Attached: 200px-Cleveland_Brown_Jr.png (200x272, 42K)

It isn't. The correct argument is there is too much power concentrated in a surveillance state.

>he thinks only third world countries illegally spy on their citizens
user I have news for you

if you have lots of money why wouldnt you just let it lay around in the street

silly man -- the NSA can find you in a matter of minutes

>if you have nothing to say then why would you post?

Yes we need a Good Citizen scoring system with face recognition like in China where the bad people with low scores aren't allowed to take a student loans or travel abroad and only the good people are allowed to drive a car.

No, it's actually a fallacy, you are implying that anyone who don't want to be investigated and monitored is a criminal, there is a thing called "privacy" my brainlet friend

Yes they can. Do they want to find me though? Apparently not, don't overestimate your importance as a human being. Of course they collect data, they did that even in the past and only acted upon it if they found out someone violated the law. It's no different today.
The USA is a third world country.
>implying gommunism is a good thing
Yes, there is privacy today, but can we really call it privacy and private information if you choose to disclose it with literally everyone without anyone forcing you to do it? Of course you won't tell everyone your SSN or whatever other private info about yourself (at least I hope you won't) but literally everything else is your choice.

Do you not understand sarcasm?

Do you not understand that sarcasm cannot be reliably communicated in written context?

I'm pretty sure that a rational person should have been able to think for himself and discern that the good citizen scoring system or whatever it's called in China is objectively a bad thing and should be frowned upon.
Land of the free is only couple false flags away from such future though. Just as the 11th/9 was abused to push through the Patriot Act and war on oil.

>I care about my online privacy

Attached: 1536632314338.jpg (220x229, 4K)

>*jak posting

literally objectively only pirates and pedophiles need to mask their online activity

Give me access to your network, if you don't feel the need for privacy then.

Nice meme, friend.

This. Notice how it's crickets whenever somebody points this out. "It will never happen to us! I trust my omniscient big brother state to never turn against me over the course of the next 50-70 years!"

So you will be able to commit crimes and I will be held responsible? Nah, go somewhere else you pedo.

Until someone decides that what you aren't hiding doesn't fit their worldview.

NPCs aren't supposed to have thoughts that image is inherently a lie

Why wait 50-70 years when World Superpower Numero Uno is complicit in creating megacorporations like Google which essentially are governments without any legal or public responsibilities

>he thinks only third world countries illegally spy on their citizens
user, no.

So you do need privacy, eh?

>not allowing someone to use my devices to commit crimes in my name is the same as not showing him the family photos
Disgusting pedophile

>if you have nothing to hide then why would you be worried?
I just don't want to be hacked and have my identity stolen.

If I can mitm your connection like the NSA, I can change the content however I want. Let's say you harbor political view that isn't favoured in the current climate, you might suddenly have traces of CP on your PC.

>privacy only means not family photos
Nice try fbi

I can't think of a single bad thing people in government would do, they are just perfect and know what's best for me.

Oh, but the NSA knows that because I communicate it outwards. Again, it's a sensitive info I chose to share so your point doesn't stand.
Go back to Jow Forums before telling me the NSA can read the minds of the people

>You chose to share

I have the feeling that a lot of people operate on the basis of denial disguised as optimism.

It was striking when the Snowden leaks came out, how many people were not alarmed or even concerned. The only explanation I could come up with is an fearful unwillingness to fully acknowledge the ugly truth and its implications.

Attached: Americans_Disapprove_of_Government_Surveillance_Programs.jpg (539x326, 48K)

America's laws don't forbid this? If government agents do what ever they want and ignore laws, why do you have elections?

When will Americans realize government agencies knowing everything about you is only good for you?

Attached: 1537284913563.png (680x683, 402K)

Maybe you aren't interested in the politics, but others might be. Maybe the person you voted for in the last election is into politics and has opinions that aren't deemed acceptable so suddenly sensible information about him is "leaked". Reporters and journalists often go missing in the glorious Russia. I hear whistleblowers tend to have fatal accidents more frequently in the land of the free too.
Not everyone with a different opinion is from Jow Forums.

Yes you did. Let's say you're a leftist for example.
By participating in a leftist rally you chose to share your political beliefs who see you taking part in said rally. The organisers put disclaimers all over the place saying that by being there you consent to having your picture taken and/or being filmed and shared on the internet so now literally everyone can know you're a leftist. It's a form of indirect consent.
As I said, I don't live in a third world country so your points are not an issue to me. I understand that politics are important for some people but politics were always a minefield for everyone involved in it especially if they have a different opinion. In that case there are already regulations protecting whistleblowers for example. I know they are not much of a help against a real danger but it's better than nothing. I am also worried about the potential misuse of information (sensitive or otherwise) and there should be steps between "not putting info onto the internet" and "sharing all info with everyone" but I don't know the solution. A similar argument would be "why would you go out onto the streets? People may mug you" which is equally stupid. You don't have to use the internet or any technology and you'll have perfect privacy but here we are, having this conversation.

So, if I don't want to be doxed I should be a good citizen and stay out of politics? Sounds great for me.

Or rather you shouldn't have social media where your "friends" can see your address, phone number etc for example.

I honestly can't understand what you wanted to say with this, care to explain?

I technically live in a third world country, although the word has lost its meaning and we have higher standard of living than the Clapistania, but nevertheless I still have concerns for privacy. Have you seen what the totalitarian government in China has been up to this year? That's what it means to have no privacy and it doesn't require communism boogeyman to be enacted.

you don't get to decide what's legal and what's illegal, the government does.
you don't get to decide when you're breaking the law, the government does.
you don't get to decide who is a terrorist, the government does.

if that isn't enough to convince you to care about privacy nothing will.

My mom says this unironically. She also chopped off a piece of my penis at birth for no particular reason. Being raised by an NPC sucks.

why are you behind 200 proxies if you have nothing to hide?

founding fathers wanted to protect pedophiles and criminals from an unjust government

Well, they were social and religious outcasts so there's a high chance they were pedos as well

They were literally respected leaders of their communities hence why people listened to them

BASED

This desu. Once the data is out there, it's free to be used by whoever can access it. You can be harmed by your information. Just because it's all perfectly legal and passes the NPC test doesn't mean that you're safe from abuse.

because I DO have things to hide. My passwords, my credit card number, literally my identity, and what porn do I like; which btw I don't mind to tell to a male friend, I like big white asses in the sane range of big (about a hip to booty ratio of 60-110 max I guess). But I wouldn't say that on the middle of a math class to the whole class, I have the liberty of not being recorded while saying that to a friend, if he does then I would kick his ass for trying to meem me, I mean why would he be recording me in the first place? That's why I want to be anonymous on internet retard, pedofiles will get rekt anyway because the child is either missing or is a familiar of the aggressor, not because CIA saw the aggressor jacking off to pedo porn, I'm actually against it being uploaded, if I had the chance I would destroy the drives of those porn servers, but even then just law would say if it's legal to do so. Is not a legitimate human right to destroy something as it is to have free speech. "Hiding stuff over internet" is just using a protocol so that your internet doings isn't easily traced back to your local connection. You can kill people with your bare hands but it is not illegal to use your hands in general, and also is not legal to spy into someone 100% of the time to see what does he do with its hands.

>But I wouldn't say that on the middle of a math class to the whole class

>being this unconfident

In modern day you might offend somebody for not being into ebony or saggy tits and wind up in jail because you didn't want to rape them

then let me correct myself, I do really would say this in a middle of a math class if the whole class consisted of my favorite teacher and a bunch of male friends. But some female classmates will say 'ew gross rapist' in their minds. Like this:

>Wine aunt wojak
I don't remember that one

You got nothing to hide from the government.

But the government EXPECTS you to hide your everything from the criminals.

mind your own bidness

If you don’t have anything to hide why wont you let me read your diary?

Do people not just find it weird that companies/governments can have aggregate data on them and know things about the person that they don't know themselves?

Its unironically a solid argument for most of the world.

My boomer athiest LSD loving hippie P.hD having Dad uses this argument all the time.

go home, /x/

>greyjak
its called NPC you retard

>posting

One question that bothers me is that, what happens if someone unintentionally clicks on something illegal?

Fuck this forced shit

>what happens if someone unintentionally clicks on something illegal?

youre a drop in an ocean, if the world starts giving the slightest fuck about your personal affairs, it means you did something to deserve it.

therefore the answer to your question is - if they didnt give a fuck about you before the click, they wont give a fuck about you after the click.

>right wing pedo arguments

Hey, if the government gets to hide stuff (to the point where they actually prosecute whistleblowers) then so do I.

I just tell them "If you truly have nothing to hide, then send me your nudes." That's a pretty effective way to shut them up. NPCs don't care about the government and corporations seeing their private thoughts, because their private thoughts are not interesting or original. However, since most of them are fat disgusting pigs, they do have a problem with others seeing them naked.

Here's a fun fact: Literally everyone in the US is a criminal.

Incidentally, the FBI is one of the biggest distributers of CP in the world.

everyone in the world is a criminal according to some texts.

I still need to hear a proper reply to this argument.

Not saying I don't agree. I haven't done anything ilegal, yet I don't like the idea of the goverment getting their filthy hands on my data.

And yet if you ask details the people who use this argument then say; whow hey, non of your business.
Then people wonder, why do major companies want to know my income? What my savings are or my porn search history? And simply put you don't know why exactly and that creates doubt.

How about the fact that the US government - the very organization that is spreading this argument - is itself hiding vast quantities of information, including crimes it has committed, and prosecutes anyone who reveals the things it is hiding?

IMO, if the whole "If you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to hide." argument applies to individual citizens, then it applies to the government and corporations as well.

What color is your fedora?

Spotted the pedo.

ITT: Jow Forums falls for the bait. Again for something going on for like 10 decades.

Oh nooo fuck I dont want to be labeled as an npc!! Fuck privacy.
