In that case, I'd like some kind of Acer Swift 3. Second choice would be a MacBook Pro with at least 4c/8t.

Just get an eGPU user

new macbooks coming out in a week
i would wait a week and cop the new macbook air desu
i plan on doing this myself

I like to go to the McDonald's for lunch when the high school kids are on break

You're making me cry with that pic.

Lelnovo Thickbad P52

That's my plan too. If it's under $1200 I'll probably get it or a Pre TouchBar Pro for $750 - $900 on eBay

Thinkpad 25 with either Manjaro Budgie, or Arch if I have to do my actual work on the fucker too.

I have one of these and they're damn pretty, I'm just paranoid about using it because of the parts inability since it's a rare machine

2015 retina macbook pro 15" 2.8GHz i7 , fully maxed out (16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, etc)

Some good thinkpad

Unironically this. Dedicated gpu with good battery life. If i have to buy it myself i'll just use an older 3rd gen x1.

Have to say an HP Elitebook 8770w with an upgraded gpu. Strong enough CPU for anything I do, and with a decent gpu, it'll be good enough for any light gayman I wanna do.

Razer Blade 15 advanced model with a Razer Core X.

15.6inch edge-to-edge compact design

4K, 3840 x 2160 touch display or fullHD but matte screen (non-touch)

4.9mm thin bezels

144Hz refresh rate

100% sRGB or Adobe RGB support

GTX 1070 Max-Q Design 8GB GDDR5 VRAM

i7-8750H processor, 6 Cores/12 Threads, 2.2GHz/4.1GHz (Base/Max Turbo), 9MB Cache

512GB SSD (NVMe Pcie 3.0 x4)

Glass touchpad (Microsoft Precision Touchpad)

Optional colour: Mercury with tone-on-tone logo and black USB ports (no backlit logo, so it's barely noticeable)

This thing wipes the floor with any mac and it doesn't look gay like macs and it has basically the same build quality.
Too bad I dislike laptops but if I was forced to use one and given the choice, I'd get this one.

Predator Helios 500 with Ryzen 7 2700 and Vega 56. The only laptop on the market that can compare to my PC for productivity. I don't play games or utilize the GPU too much but a powerful CPU is vital. And since price is not a concern this time, I might as well get the fully specced model

The 2012 mbp 13" with maxed out ram, i5 and ssd which I already have and actually planning to use next couple of years more

>1.5hr battery life

My old P3 Latitude with 20 year old batteries is better than that

>You can only use ONE computer for the next two years.

That is actually happening to me, I won't be able to afford one in three years at least.

Long story, but my last laptop died, Best Buy couldn't repair it and I got to choose another one instead, because they had a lot of 4 GB of RAM intel i3 Optane laptops, the only decent one was an HP Pavilion 15-cw0009la.

Despite the graphics minor issues like the backlight won't change unless I edit certain file, and the heat sink design (which is bad for gaming but not for rendering, surprisingly), I would say that I'm having really positive experiences with this laptop while I slowly see an increase on Ryzen support with each Kernel update.

Now, if I could change my laptop, I would definitely choose a ThinkPad X1 Carbon with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD.

Thinkpad W520.

Are those any good? They look like the only modern ThinkPads actually worth buying.

yeah and your wall clock has better battery life too, but it can't render 3d stills and animation, right?

I have a desktop PC, not a laptop, so battery life is a useless factor to consider. Where do you work that you don't have access to a power outlet?

yikes the fan noise

is that the guy from redlettermedia?

rMBP late 2013, 15 inch, with dedicated GPU (GTX 750m).

>he wants the throttlebook with the shittiest amd gpu

My trusty Thinkpad T440s with Linux Mint Cinnamon is already the laptop I intend to use for the next two years and more.

xps 13

I already do, it's a Thinkpad W530.

Thinkpad P50 or X1 Carbon

Finally a good post.

I've already been using one computer (a laptop) for the last two years
My Thinkpad T530 with a new keyboard

Replaced the stock one? With what?

If I was given one for free I would go for the Thinkpad X1 or something
Otherwise I would stick with my x220.

Thinkpad t480s.

>Vega
>Ryzen
That's a yikes for me

>Gaming Laptop Computer
fuck off

Best one

And incels says he's not a tranny
Pathetic

I choose a laptop that...

Has an easily replaceble battery.
Has the keyboard in front, not in back.
Has four or more USB3 ports.
Has a screen where black appears as black.
Can boot from an external DVD drive when needed.
Has good drivers for XP, Linux and BSD.
Has a full duplex soundcard.
Has a keyboatrd that isn't crappy.
Easily removable HD.

Yeah, I choose that one.

I'm already going to use my dell latitude e7240 for the next 2 years

My surface book 2 15"

best one

Attached: 1538259533021.png (352x264, 67K)

Exact same story here.

i'd just use my current laptop then. i don't do any kind of intense graphic/computing work and this guy is low power and battery lasts 10h+.

guess i'll just have to not play vidya for a year and could still run OpenMW at low settings on it if i wanted to.

Otherwise fuck you, I won't use these piece of trashes.
I don't give a shit about mobility, you can't do real work while on the go.

>doesn't see the duck tape
The last photo contained duck tape and only butt plugs. Only trannies use those things

My current thinkpad that I'm typing on currently.

current's currently?

I'm already using it.

i'll even play hard mode and use it for the next 10 fucking years.

>has basically the same build quality
so it is completely shit?

Libreboot X60 with Trisquel

So the same setup I am using now and have been for the past 3 years.

That mouse is really fucking good. Works really well, feels nice to use and I haven't replaced the battery in 3 years now.

patrician choice but I would probably go with a surface pro and save $1200

Attached: microsoft-surface-pro-2017.jpg (740x417, 22K)

Stupid question. If you answer anything other than MacBook Pro 2015 Retina then you have no idea and do no real work.

One that I can afford or any created ever?
If it's the former I'd probably use a W520 and pray that the built-in graphics can eke out TF2 with something resembling playable framerates. Everything else falls out there, that's literally the most taxing thing on the CPU I ever bother doing with my computer, so if that works so will everything else. If it's the latter I'd probably go with either or and not have to worry about it.

Attached: QT wheel sweat-ton.jpg (600x565, 72K)

Probably a Thinkpad T60, maybe a T400.

If it's being provided for free: Macbook Pro 15
If I have to buy it myself: Macbook Pro 13

Comfy
