>Dumb op nvidia shill
It all adds up real quick that op is faggot

High end gpu market is dead anyway nobody wants to buy 500usd+ cards that get slower and more expensive than their previous iterations every 2 years or less just to play shitty console ports
Rx580 is a fine midrange gpu it crapped over the 1060 (whatever one is the fastest since there's like 6+ varients now) and 56 pulls close to 1080 1070ti
Granted 64 is kinda useless but it's slightly faster than a 1080 so there's that.
Midrange is where the money is and No one will buy 1500usd 2080tis that will be outdated in a year
590 isn't bad but the pricing better be on point like I'm talking 250usd or under
Fuck this 300+ post miner crash bs

I think they should scrap polaris it's not even 7nm and has the same issues as vega
Why not just release navi?

>Shit benchmarks
Look the rx480/580 vs rx590

If it's $250 or less that's solid cost/performance.

Yeah I don't really get the point of complaining when theres no price yet.
It's like saying the next gta 1060 can't beat a 1070.

>ff
the game that untill the release had a locked tesselation option maxed out and then after everyone benchmarked it said "it was a mistake"

>~20% increase over a period of two years
I miss the times where falling behind for a year meant being obsolete, now you have overpriced nvidia, or underwhelming amd
hope navi and 7nm nvidia deliver something interesting

that card was targeted at crypto mining, what a disaster.

Which one the 590 or 980?

ETH is dead

590

hey look at the bright side
they're finally making gpus at Fury level again

RX 590 is a stopgap die shrink of the 580. What where you expecting?

yesterday, I posted Vega 20 can't even beat GTX 1080. Now, a fucking GTX 980 from 3 1/2 years ago beating an unreleased RX 590. Fucking AMD

>Vega 20 can't beat a GTX 1080

Is the Vega 20 even a gaming card? Doesn't a Vega 64 already trade blows with a 1080 in some games? Seems a large node shrink would easily push it ahead.

>Is the Vega 20 even a gaming card?
Nope, but that won't stop nvidia shills from losing their shit. It's like comparing a quadro to the 1080.

Stock Vega 64 and the GTX 1080 are neck and neck at 1080p and 1440p depending on the titles being compared.
Do you really think that a pro card is going to have drivers optimized for game performance?

Any clock increase at all and Vega 64 edges out the 1080. A 7nm part with the same arch is going to have a substantial performance lead in raw compute.

What you posted was bait aimed at people who don't understand how high CU count GCN scales nor what clocks Vega should be capable of on TSMCs 7nm HP node.

Basically, anyone with a clue knows your supposed Vega 20 results are not at all representative of what a gaming oriented Vega would do on that 7nm HP node, because it would likely be able to clock significantly higher than Vega on 14nm, and it would get faster by about the same percentage as the clocks increased due to GCN's per clock bottleneck issues.

Can't exactly say those numbers compel me to run out and replace my RX 570 8 GB with the new RX 590. It quite frankly seems like a pointless rebrandeon. I guess they figure same shit in a new wrapping will help with marketing or something.

>Vega 20 can't even beat GTX 1080
no shit, Vega 20 is a workstation/server card without display outputs. It's obviously not capable to beating a 10 year old GPU with a display output since the 10 year old GPU is able to put a picture on the screen and Vega 20 isn't. A lot about Vega 20 can be gleaned from the driver source code, btw. It's one big monster of a card with odd stuff like dual hardware video encoding and decoding. It's vastly different from VEGA10 (the cards known as Vega56 and Vega65). There's also code for a simpler new Vega chip called VEGA12 in the kernel and that's clearly consumer GPUs.

Worse than a Vega 56, and basically the same as a Fury.
This is a really fucking weird product. Is it a GCN 5th gen card but with GDDR5 instead of HBM2 like Vega?

Its just 12nm Polaris, a refresh of the RX480/580

So what you're saying is, nvidia entry level cards from a decade ago still beats amd's 7nm card?
Hahaha amd btfo again

>Optimized process with Polaris architecture
>10% performance increase on the same architecture
Pretty good tbhfam, though it should be called the RX 585, or RX 580T or something.

>ffxv
v64 has a handful of victories vs the 1080 and 1080ti in some games, especially newer ones used to show off the rtx 2080 etc.

honestly if the 590/680/whatever its called is 10-15% faster and costs $250 or less, that's pretty good - it's like we finally got the 1440p card "For the rest of us"

anyone bitching about it doesn't understand that if it comes out this year it's mostly just a die shrink (14nm to 12nm) for polaris, with better memory i think
gddr5 is much cheaper and more readily available than HBM2; if this thing had hbm2 stacks it wouldn't be worth making.

>980
>Fury
you guys realize this is a much smaller card that drains much less power, right?
it's a mid-range competing with previous flagships
that's pretty good.

Haven't seen this meme in a while.

RX 580XR

If it's $250 or less I'll buy it without thinking.

random bench with FF shitworks edition. game was and is heavily nv optimized from the start. at a 250$ price point the card will be fine. even nv knows that and will likely release a GDDR5X 1060 to compete.

if the msrp on this thing is any higher than about $230 it's a complete blunder

Who cares. It's just a stockiing filler GPU anyhow.

>Finewine does not exi...

Attached: NewdeeCawaDoodee.jpg (726x1270, 85K)

It's a fucking ff15

1440p is exactly why I purchased Vega 56 on day one. The firmware hack and fine wine performance increases due to the way games are going to have to be developed (even Nvidia knew this by releasing Turing) was only the icing on the cake.
We may not have known about raytracing being on Nvidias radar but we sure as hell knew rapid packed math was going to be required on their next lineup.

>likely
You have not been paying attention obviously.
pcgamer.com/uk/nvidia-adds-gddr5x-to-its-popular-gtx-1060-line/

I wrote "liekly" because it's not confirmed which markets it is actually going to hit. Considering there is already a china exclusive 5GB 1060 etc.

>yesterday i posted about vega 20

yeah its not like the same numbers we saw on that "leaked" ff is exactly the same as the 590 eh
