Should I wait until cyber monday to buy pic related?

Should I wait until cyber monday to buy pic related?

Also, what are some other m.2 2280 nvme SSD's?

Shit forgot to mention...
I want the drive to have 1TB capacity.

Unless it's specifically for the form factor don't get m.2s. You get higher capacity on 2.5" SATA 3 SSDs and 90% of the real world performance of m.2s.

stop calling nvme "m.2" you fuckwhit

Higher capacity against what? Fucking retard.

shut the fuck up, billy, the adults are talking

I want the SSD for my new laptop, and the laptop only supports m.2.

Look at pic related

Pedantic here, m.2 drives can be SATA drives. You probably mean to say "90% of the real world performance of NVMe drives"

Source: have several m.2 drives - some SATA and some NVMe

3D NAND is making regular 2.5" SATA 3 SSDs cheap af, I can see 2TB variants going for ~$100 on cyber monday.

>3D NAND = m.2
This thread is pozzed with incompetents. I'm out.

That's why I specified 2.5" SATA 3 form factor ya dingus. I know m.2s use 3D V-NAND but the former is cheaper than the latter.

Man,if you are the same dude shilling for the SATA SSD's, thanks for fucking ruining my thread...

Yes I am you negro, fuck your meme.2s

>thanks for fucking ruining my thread...
You're very welcome.

your fault for being retarded and wanting to pay 400 dollars for a meme when there's something that can do the same for 100 dollars

There's literally no reason to use m.2 for a desktop. Literally not a single one. m.2 drives, especially NVME drives have like 1.5x $/GB cost ratio. You can get 2TB SATA 2.5" drives for under $300 if you wait a little

Why the fuck is everyone so confused between physical connectors, communication protocol and transport layer?

Seems like most retards here can't differentiate AHCI from NVME...

dude, shut the fuck up, simple concepts like "m2", "nvme", "sata", "form-factor", "interface", "nand type" - they completely elude you

Stop gas lighting me you fucking nigger. m.2s are dogshit, end of story, goodnight.

Don't those things get really hot? Do they throttle or are they more susceptible to failing due to heat?

buy the pro instead

smaller, faster, ubiquitous. what's dogshit about it exactly?

>getting slower drives for higher capacity
why even buy SSD

bruhs and bruhettes.

any prediction on the 8086k beating zen2 in sc for gaymin purposes only. my 4790k at 4.8ghz currently annihilates zen+ at games but i want some more cores so i can stream a bit.

would buy zen+ now even if it meant downgrade if zen2 will most likely beat the 8086k, which i can nab at microcenter right meow for like 350 dollery doos.

BIG negative, pretty much every AM4 mobo sux shit from the ass hole too. sad times D:

my bad, wrong thread

Why

no real benefits, both will be 20 years obsolete by the time they degrade, even with heavy use

They throttle. As for heat, it's good for the NAND and bad for the controller. Controllers tend to die, use a decent heatsink in a case that isn't a damn hotbox, and you're fine.

m.2 form factor is fine. Inside that SATA SSD is a PCB the size of an m.2 card anyway. There is really no difference unless the protocol is nvme, which is simply superior to SATA in every way other than price/GB, which is only important if you're poor.

tl;dr you've got no idea what you're talking about.
