Because they realise real life isn't some retarded Jow Forums meme?

to get btfo'd hard

Why are you asking here of all places? We could only tell you why insane people would use it.

You know that guy works on Arch, right?

because it's unironically most stable distro with best package manager and every posible software on earth in AUR

I can't read this phone resolution shit.

Because it's the best Linux distro. The balance between paranoic shit tier Slackware, Gentoo etc. and noob garbage like Ubuntu, Mint and Manjaro.

Pacman, Arch Wiki, AUR and you're all set for the OS of your dreams. No more bloatware garbage and no more garbage compilation times and babysitting useless features.

With Arch you create the system exactly to your needs and when you're done you'll be very thankful to the one who told you to use it, even if it was from one of those meme. Sure it's a bit harder for the absolute Windoze cuck or Noobutu user but in the end, 2-3 days worth of work will surely be worthy of it.

>AUR
enjoy the malware faggot

I installed it on a virtual machine and it happened to me

>With Arch you create the system exactly to your needs
Only if your needs always require the latest kernel and base packages. They are not optional.

What? Read the Pkgbuilds.

>he doesn't check PKGBUILD before installing
do you know how I know that you are a retard

>With Arch you create the system exactly to your needs
I need a lightweight OS where dependencies are managed in a sane way. Ouch. Guess I'll go back to Gentoo then.

Arch isn't lightweight and isn't supposed to be.

>guess I'll go back to compiling software for hours
good riddance

Enjoy wasting your entire weekend compiling :^)

because arch is funny

>arch
>minimalist
only one please

Good thing I can do something else while it's compiling while you don't have X.org. ;^)

>Noob garbage like Ubuntu, Mint and Manjaro.
I've been a RedHat Sys Admin for 20 years and run Ubuntu on my laptop. Am I a n00b?
>Pacman, Arch Wiki, AUR and you're all set for the OS of your dreams.
Snap and Flatpack will replace AUR in a few years.
>With Arch you create the system exactly to your needs.
You know Ubuntu 18 now has a minimal install option right?

That's right, I use Wayland.

>minimalist option
>Still includes shit like the amazon app

Smithers?

What?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waylon_Smithers

Wayland
Smithers
Wayland Smithers

Lying is not good.
The amazon app is not on the minimal netinstal.

Oh, an anime thing. Cute.

it isnt, unless its changed since 18.04

>>minimalist option
>>Still includes shit like the amazon app
Uh, no it literally does not include any of that.

Then you are fucking blind son

I hate unstable distros and I have been using arch for maybe 4 years. I would have left it if it caused more problems than fedora. I don't understand where this unstability meme comes from. I have never had any problems that prevented me from booting, the worst thing it has happened is having some dependency problems or some library that required less than 2 minutes to fix

xorg has had autodetection for how much, maybe a decade? my xorg does not have a xorg.conf configuration file.

>aspect ratio is 1:3.8
>this is somehow acceptable
Phone posters, leave.

>Snap and Flatpack
yuck

>most stable distro
Now do pacman -sy

Arch is the opposite of minimalism or choices.
Gentoo does not have this issue.

>open source malware.
this shows how little you know about anything computer related. Neck yourself.

>t. debian user thinking arch is only good for the wiki and to learn how a linux system works without going full autistic with gentoo (which teaches you even more, btw).

>MOM, i need to recompile everything for the next 2 weeks

>>Snap and Flatpack
>yuck
I agree, but user is right. That's the future... With all it's bloated glory.
