I guess my GPU is toasted then. Is there anything I can try to salvage it?

Put it in the fridge

Why would that work?

Put the pcb in the oven.
Take the fan and shield off first.

Yep this is why you don’t install Linux!

>using a dGPU

Tried that with peanut butter already, no dice.

install gentoo and run the included gpu check utility

Is the BIOS even rendered by the GPU?

Yup. Tested it on two completely different rigs and both displayed the same fucking artifacts.

not OP, but i'll get this every now and then on certain websites. is it my gpu?

reddit: the portfolio

my entire portfolio is link. anyways is this issue caused by my gpu?

yes, more specifically, vram corruption

32GB ddr4
1TB ssd
i7
45$ monitor

Ah, the Nvidia green lines™

No, there's no reasonable fix for it. It probably won't get any worse but it's not fun to look at.

This is bullshit. I had similar artifacts just by using and closed source driver instead of an open one.

Did you try turning it off then back on again?

The eternal Jow Forumsentleman

Loonix fails to load drivers and so do wanblows, panicking during boot

Switched rigs, let it rest for a month. Same shit.

Time for reballing

I got something similar to this with green lines on my GTX780 from Asus. It was still within warranty so I sent it back to the retailer who took 8 weeks to resolve it (I think Asus couldn't fix it), and I got a full refund which I put straight into a GTX980

Yay for simple Aussie consumer rights

Sucks your card is fried cause you've got nice specs family.

yo I made that pic :)

>is ___ rendered by gpu
If you see it it's rendered by the GPU. Some CPUs even have an integrated GPU.

>32gig of ram
for what purpose?

what Os did it run?

>he doesn't load entire games into ram

To spite RAMlets like you. Also .

Oddly enough it does work. So does putting it in an oven under specific settings
