There is absolutely NO way to bypass an iCloud lock.

I had an iPad used by an employee of mine that locked it to their apple ID after they were fired.
Apple was all of ZERO help. Refused to do anything about it, so my only recourse is to either try and take the employee to small claims or just eat the cost of the iPad.

It's just a warranty case then.
As a possible option of recourse now if doesn't work - call your insurance company.
iPad is broken(it is, you can't use it), needs replacement.

Thats all, Apple lock system is very simple yet powerful, tried to unlock one years ago and those were the 2 options given, I still dont know how to fake SSL certificates so I cant go for the first option
