Why haven't you bought Librem laptop yet?

Why haven't you bought Librem laptop yet?

bump

Because I don't really care if my government wastes their time spying on me looking for 'terrists. My setup prevents corporate and commercial spying and that's enough for me.

you forgot to list
>pwned by NSA

I'm not buying anything with an (((Intel))) CPU

Can I install gentoo on it?

>no trackpoint
>16:9 shit
trash

homosec pc

>actually respects your privacy
It matches a laptop with coreboot and me_cleaner at best, you're better off getting an old thinkpad and librebooting it.
>doesnt sell user data or build profile about you
That is the case whenever you use software that isn't a botnet. You can install an operating system that at least seems to respect you on pretty much anything.
>no keylogger like apple, microsoft, etc.
Software matters. I'm pretty sure you could install Windows on a librem laptop if you wanted to for some reason. It would be as much of a botnet as any other laptop.
>Pure OS
A shitty distro, I'd recommend Parabola GNU/Linux-libre. Debian and derivatives are garbage.

Why?

Intel CPUs are inferior products

so Ryzen > Intel?

This + no volume keys

because the hardware rebranded chinese garbage and the "privacy" software isn't anything i couldn't do myself.

in regards to not having a separate unnecessarily forced on you chip called a management engine, yes

Aren't they just rebranded Clevo laptops with me_cleaner applied ootb?

they're trash, plus they have intel

Because they are expensive

Do computers really come with pre installed key loggers?

yes

take lenovo - they had superfish installed on us

>implying it was on thinkpads
>buying consumer laptops

>what is PSP

>linux
>cheapest laptop is $1k
>has intel instead of economical ryzen mobile cpu

It's crap, only retards buy this shit. Linux is about freedom and non-profit, yet this crap is al about profit.

>non-profit
No it's not. Shitloads of companies profit greatly thanks to free and open source software.

a failed handheld

What are you anons doing that makes you so worry about privacy so much?

Consuming cheese pizza.

Oh how naive you are.
libreboot.org/faq.html#amd

cp desu

>bullshit prop given and published at Intel's behest
yeah, it already has slimey like smell all over that link

>Librem laptop
It's the same damn cost with a shitty OS. I can buy something better for less and install my own OS with better research.

>Literally shits on intel the paragraph above
Seek professional help.

I-is my thinkpad doing all that?

Not pure enough, but I'm glad they're working on it. I'm thinking the next computer I buy will have to be non-x86.

Not spending 2 grand on a laptop when I could build a far more powerful desktop for a quarter of that.

This. Blackbird will save us all.

Why are you wearing clothes? Do you have a small dick to hide?

>respects privacy

has camera/mic

Still not a libre laptop. When it has a libre bios, I'll buy one (probably never happen).

Their CTO is a tranny bro

>Intel ME "neutralized"

bullshit, they don't even coreboot

>Blackbird

elaborate?

phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Raptor-Blackbird-Announced

It's blob-free except for the network adapter which is being worked on. It even has free (as in freedom) user-replaceable microcode. They proud themselves on offering "owner controlled" hardware.

these + chiclet keyboard

how much?

Attached: 1324763473.jpg (500x500, 54K)

yeah but it's running an IBM processor

how is that open-source or free?

They haven't announced it yet but I've heard something about ~700$/board.
drivers, firmware, microcode and the schematics of the board are free. What else do you want? No, the processor isn't libre hardware, but that's not really an issue because you wouldn't be able to make your own anyway.
