last time I tried signal for iOS it was a laggy shit.

>80MB on windows for encrypted chat with barely any UI
BLOATED

sounds like incel software, no thanks.

>no web client
dropped

this

>using memeware
Use XMPP + OMEMO instead.

what
they have an electron app, what you think that is

webclient means you can access it though browser

it's also a chrome app
i mean what do you want

open page in firefox and chat through it hangouts-style

there, i googled it for you. github.com/signalapp/Signal-Desktop/issues/415

so they don't port it because they are lazy? deleting this shit and sticking to free sms

Everyone I know either uses Whatsapp or Telegram.

Isn't signal the one that still has to make their server side software libre? As in they didn't publish the source code for the server side of things.

No that's telegram plus they rolled their own crypto that hasn't been audited

It's supposed to be much improved by now.
>Windows
Same here, still using Signal with everyone I could convince.

So you want your private key stored on some server somewhere instead of locally?

tldr; fucking brainlet

I don't wanna install shit on my machine.
Especially since nowadays if you don't have something like 5 different IM there's always someone you can't reach. Even if you are a social outcast.

telegram is better

>SIM card required
Fucking trash. Wire and Riot.im are superior in every way.

It isn't, it's worse. Shit encryption and not fully open source.

Go and break their encryption. There's even a bounty to do it, you fucking retard.

>do our job for us
Kys

Signal is my exclusive phone contact with anyone intimate with me. I told my family and gf that I'll only reply on signal so they should have it installed

It's perfect in the scheme of privacy because it's a replacement that doesn't cost any convenience

This. My family use it because it's simple to use as both an SMS and an IM app.

Once they implement something like non-phone dependent contact sharing, I'll be happy. Don't wanna put my phone number out there.

Telegram is better

*unencrypted SMS

We don't need another fucking messaging app. Implement Matrix or fuck off.
