I think full depth racks are a waste of space in a home.

the only problem is there are no shallow racks that are fully enclosed. the only thing that exists for 17 to 21 inch deep servers and switches are wall mount network cabinets. most of them have solid rear panels and plexiglass on the front door which is bad for airflow so they aren't a great option. so no locking rear door and low weight limits still makes them wesk options.
