As a paying customer of ProtonMail, I'm sick of this shit. What's a non-botnet alternative?

upvoted fellow redditor

Email is insecure by design.
If you don't want to use Protonmail, then self-host and use PGP.

Quite...

>mommy someone called me a mean word

I wouldn't know user, I don't visit Jow Forums.

desu it's a meme. If your were a domestic terr- uh hacker they would sing so god damn hard.

Raspberry pi and some effort

>incoming email
Set up your own, or use Tutanota, Yandex/Cock.li/anythingnotGoogle if you only went to avoid Google
>outgoing email
You're fucked, the only barely reasonable alternative it's Tutanota

tbqh neither Tutanota or Protonmail support PGP, only their own encryption scheme that no one else has adopted, you're better off just using some mainstream provider for outgoing email and your own for incoming, or just the same provider for everything

LORD HAVE MERCY

Literally just use gmail but encrypt everything with PGP.
e-mail security has been solved a million years ago.

Have fun doing that every fucking time

Get you own domain then

Who cares if account names are connected together when the content of the mail can't be read?

Because the only reason you would be retarded enough to use a service like this is because you want to hide your metadata, otherwise you may as well just use any email service + PGP

Idiot here but, using a self hosted alternative with own domain works with every "major" company? Or does people get your email on spam folder / blocked by internal filters?
