Spend time ricing arch and gentoo out of insecurity
2 rubles deposited
>he's insecure about his OS
First world problems much?
hey you! yes, you! don't be like op, install Lubuntu and aptget i3
So, you finally pulled through that phase. I'm proud of you, OP.
thx luv
anyone who isn't running templeos should be insecure about that fact
Same. But I'm glad I went through that Arch phase, because I've learned a lot from it. Mainly, that I don't actually need it to be able to customize my system.
>frogposting
ITT: things that never happened.
No problem, OP.
I mean, customization is nice if you have nothing to do. At least you got some good knowledge out of that phase, though.
>upgrade from LTS to 18.10 because I wanted a particular kernel update but didn't wanna install it separately
>breaks all my shit and audio
FUCK
just sayin up you might like xubuntu, it is a lot more lightweight than vanilla ubuntu and the DE is very similar, just minus that big ugly dock
so if I dont care how my gui looks like but only about setting a lot of hotkeys and doing work efficiently I dont need to spend hours with arch?
Yes.
Lubuntu is buggy, stop torturing yourselves and install MX Linux. Everything works out of the box.
Just use windows really
>not keeping 40 previojs kernells in case the new one breaks
Good riddance.
All of life is pulling through phases...we never really get anywhere do we?
what's buggy about it
*updates and reboots your pc in the middle of your rendering*
*deletes your files*
*says Oops*
>my operating system is so bad it can completely break in ways I can't prevent only fix after the fact
>fucking retards why don't you use gentoo
enjoy your sluggish de and video playback stutter
>video playback stutter
what does the DE have to do with video playback.
x11/wayland impact it, but not the DE itself
also, just install vdpau and/or va-api for hw decode and you should be fine
