They already are spending more to bring in Indians, than they would have spent to hire domestic.

H1B visa's are expensive as fuck for a company to apply for and get. Current company i'm at is ~50/50 indian with around 60 employees. The head manager is indian, they spend over $500,000 a YEAR just on H1B visa associated costs. Not even talking about their pay or anything just the money the company pays out to deal with visa processing.

he's not going to actually do it because that would go against the same large corporations that give him money.

It isn't easy or desirable. India sucks. Indian education sucks. Indian employees, therefore, suck. Yes, they might be cheaper, but tech isn't a field where the thing in demand is raw manpower. It's about the direct opposite of that kind of field.

I'm managing a team of them, so they generally just do what I say. Overall I find their work is lacking, especially any sort of written reports. They just can't write proper sentences to save themselves, and punctuation might as well be some otherworldly concept.
