8-pin CPU power is a real fucker

It's time they change these connectors. It sucks ass and it did so right from the beginning.

OP is some street shitting Indian??

>finally breaks free
>back of your hand fired into the drive cage
>bleeding ensues

>one of the orange wires starts acting up
>3.3v drops to 3.0v
>literally nothing happens

>try to plug it in, doesn't fit
>flip it around

okay, this is epic

Nice salt shaker.

>bleeding ensues
this happens regardless of what you do
i can't even pull out the fucking ram without getting scraped by the heatsink

This is why you don't buy shitty cases.

Realtalk, consider buying some cable extensions. I haven't had issues with this since I started using them.

I once broke a motherboard trying to pull this shit out
fuck this

The schrödinger's connector

Nah, this is, of course, a) unrelated and b) totally naive, because it is by now scientifically proven that usb-plugs obey laws of quantum mechanics. Most anons here know this. Educate yourself!

top kek

blood must be regularly sacrificed to the fan on the copper throne to keep the chaos temperatures at bay

Someone post THAT image

On laptops and desktop front panels, holes upwards, on desktop backsides holes to the right.

But yeah its design is flawed. Still, 99% of times you'll hit it first try following those rules.

>to the right
To the right side, looking at it from the front, that is.

thank you based usb-c

Why haven't we done away with this rat nest abomination yet?

>buy new mainboard
>put it in
>screw it tight
>turn it on
>poof

This is why I just buy laptops now.

because ATX is the industry standard and it will never die

I have seen versions of those that have all the jumpers integrated into a single connecteor

When will this be replaced with something smaller?

You only need to mess around with them when you're upgrading or repairing, how does a laptop offer an advantage on that grounds?

God I hate those pieces of shit.
Damn military cables are fucking annoying to make. They're so damn picky about it too.

Those are designed to make contact with the motherboard's ground plane

Changing parts is much harder on a laptop. Almost all of them have plastic clips and other tricky things to make your life hard.

if the gear not working means valuable meat dies you better believe their gonna be picky

Literally never had this problem and I'm a musclelet

You haven't worked on enough desktops

I haven't so I guess your fingers get sore after a while?

Ribbon cables are made by the devil himself.

Never had an issue with molex cabling even cheapo shit.

You just have shitty STR/DEX

Modern Front-panel connectors aren't really that bad anymore since most motherboard engineers place the FP ports close to where the wiring would enter into the chassis.

xD omg dude. finally someone else who understands my pain

*SCREEAK*

How about this
>Try to plug, doesn't fit
>flip, it fits

Those little faggots

holy shit whoever thought of those should die horribly

Attached: block-asus.jpg (600x387, 51K)

I think they work alright. I much prefer them to the absolute abomination that is this piece of shit. The one-hole clamps kind of work, but that three-hole cunt hates its job.

I wonder why the hell they can't come up with something that's simple to do even with limited space and sight. Can't be so fucking difficult.

Attached: UTB8Su8hlODEXKJk43Oqq6Az3XXaY.jpg (500x333, 18K)

You never had to replace the thermal paste of an old intel cooler.
See those two shitty plastic tabs on the tip? they ALWAYS BREAK.
And when they do, the shit don't work anymore and your computer overheat.
If you gonna deal with those fucks, you better have a bag of that crap.

Attached: razor from hell.jpg (1200x608, 65K)

My first PC had an Intel cooler with those things, served me ten years, three CPUs and at least twenty or thirty times of switching the CPU out for another one for testing purposes. Never broke.

But you're right, when it comes to longevity, the AMD abomination is definitely less fragile (although I've broken off a plastic nose on the socket itself).

I like the threadripper approach.
Just fucking screws.

hehe

*SHITTY PLASTIC SNAPS*

>screws
Being forced to use a screwdriver doesn't really deal with sight/space issues. Clamps are fine, they just shouldn't be made of plastic or be wobbly and unstable.

>socket 478
>rips your processor out of the locked socket while pulling off the heatsink
>heh, nothing personal, kid
