Micro and macro dynamics are absolutely exceptional. Switching from anything else to Verite is like switching to 4K HDR - there is just sharper color and depth to every note. This is because the texture of continuously changing volumes is reproduced so incredibly accurately and clearly. Super tangible and ultra realistic texture. I can see why the name "Verite" was chosen.

One of there really defining elements to the sound for me is the attack. Verite reproduces everything with a very tight, clear edge to it. Transients are A++++. I mean, when you talk about transient snap, this is about as good as it gets - has that electrostatic-like immediacy to it. Every sound that comes out of it, you're like, "I know exactly what the #$%& that sound is and where the $&?# it's coming from." It's just super assertive in it's sound. Love this!

Bass on Verite is beyond first class. Impact is super stiff. Great sense of suddenness to it. Even more power than the blackwood Auteur, which is exceptional in the bass dept. Bass clarity is planar-like - you just get that extra level of detail down low that you usually can't get with dynamics - super clear and detailed. Never congested. Really great differentiation between different notes/sounds/instruments down there.

Fair, want something comfy but prefer decent sound

I've seen the AKG K 612 PRO recommended, how's that one?

K612 is very good but you need an amp
consider buying the philips SHP9500 on aliexpress

K612 is fine for soundstage and imagining, but the bass is neutral/recessed and treble bit pronounced to me(ie they're bright/neutral like most AKG headphones). But sound quality is decent on them. Need amplification for them though. The SHP9500 mentioned is good meme to fall for, and if you're hell-bent on AKG SMSL M3 + AKG K240 is within reach too.

Where do I get this kind of split headphone jack?

I need to plug in my HIFIMAN's but I don't have a cord

did they forget to send you one?

Don't bother it'll fall apart before its cord arrives

any dual mono 2.5mm cable will work

How are the 1770s? High impedance closed backs are rare, and I already have ZMFs.

Why is this man shilled so much in this thread?

how good is isolation on the takstar pro 82?

my he4xx use dual 3.5mm, the first batches used dual 2.5mm, the user should look which ones he have before buying something wrong.

If you need a dac amp to make your chinkbuds sound good, they're not actually good.

>not finding a $500 DAC/Amp hidden underneath a bunch of Dell keyboards at a used bookstore for $7

>Detachable cable
Nope not making that mistake again. I'll find the best, piece of shit IEM eventually. Headfi aka "5 stars; punchy bass" can still go fuck themselves though.

Attached: styleaudio_carat_topaz_m_21392.jpg (800x535, 65K)

What's wrong with detachable cables? You can buy new ones once the jack goes to shit without having to waste your time stripping and soldering a new jack back into place.

it's the closed 1770 instead of the open 1990

Is buying a bluetooth headset a good idea?
Will use it mostly for gaymen (so a good microphone is mandatory) but also for running around in the house.
Any recommendations? Alternatively one with a cable would also be fine, but ones which don't need an amp.

Attached: HeroJojoshII.jpg (101x93, 10K)

Is there any valid reason why I shouldn’t go for Schiit multibit DACs for my source?

Attached: 033C5E1B-22BE-4AAC-9B8D-253974777F7F.jpg (1658x682, 96K)

I thought the same thing but detachable doesn't fit the moniker of "beater IEMs" that well. Good for higher quality ones where you just sit down and listen I guess. Super budget (shit) pairs also are cheap enough where the cable doesn't even save you much cash.

Chinese swivel arm stand + desktop mic isn't that expensive and feels/sounds much better than any headset. Cable is better but if you absolutely need it bluetooth go ahead and get one. I have no recommendations.

I got the 2.5mm

Can you link me a product page where I can buy a similar cable? I can't find shit online

snake oil, overpriced, bad-measuring, garage-like build quality and a fire hazard. bluepilled audiocuck material. stop shilling you idiot.

search neomusicia hifiman cable for a cheap and nice one.

The standard Modi 3 measures better, and is actually good at $99. Their other DACs, of course including the multibit ones, are abysmal.

I find it really hard to find honest reviews on audio shit anywhere. Everyone's cheap piece of shit is a 4/5 at minimum.

How do the Takstar pro 80 stack up against the pro 82?

Still garbage, Schiit can't do even one product that performs better than a 20 year old onboard audio lol

Amir disagrees. Modi 3 performance is excellent.
Based Amir.

Both are valid entry points to the glorious Takstar army, but 82 is more comfortable and a bit more refined.

If anyone is here just because they want "good headphones" and don't care too much about then this is a good combo

It's gotten a lot worse

>HD600
Excellent headphones, user.

Cheapest Stax at what now?

Should I get the HD 6XX or HD 58X?
Also how often do they usually go available on Massdrop? Like if I don't get them today how long would I have to wait?

Do you need a dac for the HD600? Does it work at all well with laptops?

Any reason to go for HD 6XX over HD600?

i could feel the headphones breaking just looking at that thing

looks too good to be true, i give it 6 weeks before one of the ears break off or stop working, no way you can get away with a wireless headphone at 90% off retail

that being said, for the first 6 weeks it might be a fun little side toy, and less than $20 it doesnt really matter

>schiit kills headphone
>recommends buying another schiit stack
yikes

How much better do idols sound with a 600?

also I generally listen to harsher and more hi-fi music with a decent amount of bass
6XX is ~$200 cheaper than the 600 at $200 and has the specs of the 650

It's as if their vocal chords and your spinal chord do resonate together. Absolute bliss.

This is still one of the worst advertisements I've ever seen. There is nothing in the ad that tries to sell me on a yggdrasil and instead tells me to buy another one of their products that is apparently better for a fraction of the cost.

Or maybe this is some sort of 200 iq modi 2 advertisement disguised as a yggdrasil advertisement, and hey if some retards buy the $2400 yggy instead even better

Modi 2 is also obsolete.
Amir preaches Modi 3.
(pic: Cool DAC from 1990, actual sound chip from 1985, playing precious grain)

Attached: 1510883903103.png (1035x1080, 190K)

It has nothing that would sell Yggdrasil to someone who’s not interested in it in the first place, but I can see the message it is trying to convey to someone who’s already getting hooked in:
>look, we are true to our principles
>we do it the proper old style without cutting corners or falling to modern delta sigma nonsense
>you like tubes too, right - despite all the stupid naysayers, you really shouldn’t listen to them

>Do you need a dac for the HD600? Does it work at all well with laptops?
The Sabaj is a DAC/AMP. Honestly, I can't tell the difference with the DAC unless going to higher volumes. I live by a main road and I'm in the room closest to the street so during the day I would notice. As an amp is pretty good, not as loud as I feel like it can get but good enough for me.
The Sabaj works great with laptops. I use a T440 with (arch) linux and it is just plug and play.

stop shilling schiit products in almost every single one of your retarded posts

Does anyone else have trouble with Bluetooth headphones not playing audio on games with the source engine or is it just my shitty pair?

stop using bluetooth

Call of Yggy works cleverly: it doesn’t try to force you to buy it *now*, but you stumble upon positive impressions every now and then, then you get curious, and then Google leads you to SBAF where they imprint your mind with the idea that your current DAC is lacking and you don’t know what you’re missing by not owning Yggy. Next, that seed grows up inside you, until you break at some point and go over to Schiit website as a broken man, Visa in your hand.

Did you miss the non-schiit dac in the picture?
It's not like I favor schiit or a-anything.

Attached: 1517898334096.jpg (785x757, 237K)

fuck off and die auteur user. no one cares about you being interested in upgrading your shitty gungir or w/e it's called to the yggy. no one cares about your zmf shill posts. just shut the fuck up and post on SBAF where you belong

No

Marketing genius.

How do I remove that seed from inside myself?

By buying HD600. That'll awake your craving of neutrality, and then you'll never want anything to do with a poorly measuring DAC.

Attached: 1540024319139.png (300x300, 151K)

>Did you miss the non-schiit dac in the picture?
I didn't realize that made a difference when you constantly talk about and recommend schiit

Is soundstage a meme? It's worth going open-back over closed just for that reason right? That closed room feeling has always been strange to me, but it's because it's noise canceling?

I seldom ever mention Schiit. No idea why so triggered. I do however recommend Modi 3 because Amir measured it and it's good. It's also cheap.

Attached: 1527244199856.png (600x800, 379K)

You mention schiit in almost every post you made, like this one.

can someone answer pls

Attached: 1541303176160.png (557x695, 188K)

Headphone drivers move to produce sound. This inconveniently means they also produce sound the opposite direction of your head.
If the headphone's closed, it turns into vibration of the enclosure and also opposes the movement of the drive. Thus distortion is much higher than on open headphones.
Soundstage is affected negatively by cross-talk, which is much higher on closed headphones due to the vibration traveling through the headband.
Not always, user.

Attached: 1511400721320.png (900x900, 1.27M)

Between 58x and 6xx, go 58x.
Else, if you can afford 600, just get that.

Attached: 1530755835985.png (800x600, 641K)

58x, they drop constantly

why the 600 over those? isn't the 650/6XX supposed to be better?
also are there any other sennheisers or other brands that would be better for kind of music I listen to?
ok thanks
